Nicely redone and very affordable with none of the crowds of the AMC. The parking lot is equally manageable. The mix of movies includes 'arthouse' and mainstream. The seats are comfortable and have cupholders, with lots of legroom. The cell coverage is lousy which is really nice during the movies, but a hassle nonetheless. Note: There is no wifi. Again,... This theatre is a mainstay of offering a wide variety of wonderful "fine arts" as well as occasional mainstream movies. We like the covered parking in close proximity to the movie house's lower level entrance, which is convenient in inclement weather. The pop-corn is also very good here, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. We always have a... More

Reasonably priced movies and concessions for people who want to see a movie and not rob the bank. Typically have a movie or two to decide on when we want to get away from "pay for view".

Attend cinemas occasionally. Old theater but nicely maintained. Many art type of films in addition to regular films. Several different theaters inside showing different film at the same time. Nice little concession stand.

Absolutely great theater!!! Each of the theaters were small and intimate and the manager was friendly and full of facts about the history of the theater. Strongly recommend you go here instead of any of the national chains.

Love this neighborhood theater! wonderful to see movies that don't always make it to the chain theaters. Comfortable seats and a friendly atmosphere.

One of my favorite sites in Kansas City, and a champion of local lore, having been around for several decades so that generations have grown up on films here. Food is better than most modern theaters (cinemark, amc) and the seating and decor, though technically outdated, are more quirky and fun than anything making this a fantastic theatre for genuine... This theater is a throwback to theaters of yesteryear. There is so much atmosphere to the theaters at Glenwood. This theater location is always clean with a friendly staff. The theaters are frequented more by couples and older adults, so there are never any disruptions during the films. I have been here a couple dozen times over the past two... More

Love to go here because it is 5 minutes from where I live and never is crowded. Great little movie house with excellent movies!

When the Glenwood Art Theater closed at 95th and Metcalf, they moved to this location. Looked to us like the only thing that changed was the name of the theater. We saw "Jimmy's Hall" at one of the theaters in the complex. They seem to be very small but the sound, view, and the seats were good. Be sure to... More
