Such a beautiful place to see. Gorgeous flowers and waterfalls. Lots of different paved trails. Beautiful birds and butterflies. Very inexpensive to get in. We even saw fish and turtles swimming in the large pond. Several shelter homes for a nice picnic. Definitely would go...More

OP Arboretum was enjoyed by all in our group. I coordinated the trip for 15 senior citizens from our church, which is on opposite corner of Kansas City about 40 miles away. The admission is $3 for adults or FREE on Tuesdays. I made the...More

I initially brought my 3 boys out to "hunt" Pokémon. After our first visit, we've been back 3 times. Such a nice quiet place to walk and enjoy nature and time with the kids. Makes for a great place to have pictures taken as well!

After a 3 hour drive to get there and weather cooler than usual, we headed over for a leisurely stroll. Had never visited there before but we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the gardens were especially this time of year. It was all very...More

If you want to see beautiful flowers in a suburban setting, this place is for you. It is in southern Overland Park and has a lot of seasonal flowers, streams, waterfalls and trail. The whole family should enjoy it!

A fairly nice arboretum, though somewhat limited in scope. Apparently is fairly new, so the extent of developed gardens is not great. Still, spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed the experience. Highlight was the trail with a series of very nice bronze sculptures....More

This place is huge! Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours here. Good hiking and lots of trails, and only a couple of bucks to get in. Money well spent. Great paved and unpaved trails with lots of healthy trees and plants. (Many labeled) Scenic...More

Great combination of botanical gardens and woods. You can take a stroll through the gardens or choose one of the many trails through different kind of woods. Some trails are short and easy, while others are fairly long and have some steep grades, but all...More

Hi, the cafe is in the nature center and actually really just a cafeteria style place. However if you take your beverage outside on the terrace or sit by the fireplace in doors it feels like being in a European café.

You can find the Overland Park Arboretum on Facebook. I believe you can also do a web search for them and get the info there. I get emails from them a lot, but don't remember getting one so far about wine tasting. Maybe a... More
