This park is not what you’d expect. It was an old shipping port from 1854-1875. Now apparently just a walking trail. I saw lots of people walking their dogs here. There are benches along the way to sit and watch the water roll by.

Although it was a bit cold and windy, we enjoyed a walk along this river front park. There are several markers worth your time to read concerning the Lewis and Clark expedition and the origins of the Santa Fe Trail.

I was disappointed by the lack of care (weeds in the side walks) and the lack of historical information. Nice view of the river though.

Don't visit expecting a port. What you will find instead is a nice riverside public park with some amazing views of the river. There are places to sit, and a few historical markers and sculptures that add some interest to the area.
