We went to the museum and it was way bigger than we thought it would be. There could have been more interactive exhibits, that was disappointing. But overall a very nice museum.

Really nice museum. Very well laid out exhibits. Focused on rocketry and space. The first exhibit you see when you go downstairs into the main museum is all about the Nazi's. They have nice artifacts, and lots to read about them. That being said, this...More

The museums display of Soviet artifacts side by side with US artifact was a great display that you don't find in most US space museums. It brought the space race inyo focus. Missed seeing the Liberty Bell 7 capsule which was on loan but seeing...More

Cosmosphere has several unique artifacts, an actual Apollo 11 thrust chamber and an SR-71 hung indoors, among others. The museum is mostly downstairs and larger than it seems from outside (still, only modest size). The layout of the exhibits is well done in historical order....More

I drove an hour from Wichita to see this place, and it was worth every minute and every penny! This is an amazing collection of real spacecraft and artifacts from a restored V-2 rocket to the actual Apollo 13 command module, to a window from...More

Thanks for the review, Luke C! We were actually founded in 1962 by Patty Carey, who built a planetarium in the chicken coop at the Kansas State Fair. She had a love for the stars and beyond! Thank you for visiting, we hope to see...More

Very extensive and detailed exhibits of space exploration. Movies aren't so great, but informative. Actual fully restored Apollo 13 capsule is on display.
