What I most liked about the home was how much was original to it. It isn’t often that a historical home is kept in its original location with so much original furnishing and contents, but that is what makes it special. The guide was very helpful and the cost was freewill donation. If you like seeing historical homes essentially as... More

This home stands out among others atop a hill a short walk outside downtown Dodge City. Open to visitors during the months of June, July and August, the limestone house offers a look into upper class life in the late 1800's. Knowledgeable guides will walk you through the rooms of the house while telling the story of the construction of... More

I thought this was be a "tour" down the halls looking through plastic doors. I was extremely surprise that there were 2 tour guides that told the history of all the occupants who had lived in the house, and you actually get to go into each room and even touch some of the memorabilia. Our guide had the sweetest personality... More

Really cool looking house. It was closed when I was there (late in the day) but the outside is worth a drive by.

We were met at the door by a lovely woman in period attire. She was vertu welcoming and knowledgeable! Loved being able to see items actually owned by the 2 families and to hear their stories. A must see for everyone!

A trip into the past complete with items from the period. Knowledgable staff, free but donation box available w/no pressure. The "ghost" experiences were very interesting.

I went to see this just because of trip advisor reviews and I was impressed. The tour and wealth of info my tour gal had was incredible. This should be a must see unless u can't do stairs. Loved loved it.

This was a good stop. You get a personal tour by a county worker dressed in the era. It was informative and in depth of the two families that lived and owned the Stone House.
