Great staff and beer
Mar. 2020 • Couples
Great little brewery. Good selection of different styles of beer. Young to aged ie Kreik etc. Tasting paddles available bigger than the average tasting paddle size and good value.
Hops are grown there including rare legget hops. You can walk up to the vines to see them.
A definite destination for craft beer lovers in Railton. Customer service was great, staff were very knowledgeable in the beer making process and keen to talk about the beer brewed there.

Thanks for your review Tarzanfail, cheers! p.s. our hops will be sprouting again mid-September and starting to climb late October, February-March is a great time to see them fully-formed.

Had a lovely lunch of wallaby pie (don't be scared it's fantastic!), I would advise the tasting paddle a great way to work out what you are going to take home.
Very welcoming and gracious hosts.
Enjoyed sitting next to hop garden.well done thanks for a peaceful lunch.

Visited 7 Breweries while in Tassy, Seven Sheds in Top Two!
Aug. 2019
A little out of the way, but worth the effort to get there. A little underwhelming to start with, but the brewer here really knows his stuff. Most impressed by English styles and the dark beers and stouts are top class.

What A Crafty Find!
Oct. 2019
What a find!
A great wee brewery hidden behind a residential street in Railton with an excellent selection of brews.
Great also to have a chat with Willie about the Wellington beer scene whilst trying out some of Seven Sheds’ finest.

ELF was the tipple of choice for me but we grabbed a selection of the others too in ‘long necks’ - added bonus - to take away.

Was gutted not be around for the Oktoberfest that weekend!
Maybe on our next visit...

Thanks for your review Leslie. We are still planning an Oktoberfest for 2020, maybe limited numbers / bookings only due to COVID-19. We'll put details up on Facebook and our website when we finalise them. Cheers Catherine

Worst brewery experience in my life
Mar. 2019
I have travelled to a lot of breweries all over the world.
In all my travels I have never in my life come across an owner of a brewery as rude as this person is.
As for the beers themselves very average indeed,
A very watered down taste compared to other craft beers,
The best advice I could give is as their slogan says,
‘last beer before paradise’
Would be to skip this beer here and go straight to paradise and move on to the next brewery.

Worth a detour
Feb. 2019
We were travelling from Launceston to cradle Mountain and this was a just a few minutes off the track. My daughter and I had the tasting palette (I had a quick taste as I was driving and she got to enjoy the rest!). All the beers were flavoursome and very different and the hops in the yard showed the dedication of the brewers. Simple setting let the beer take centre stage. Would definitely come back if in the region again - especially if they’re looking to add some food 🙂

Sneaky stop for the adults

Quick stop on the Cradle to Coast tasting highway. 5 good beers but my favourite was the St Ella IPA. Friendly welcome.

Must visit for beer lovers
Oct. 2018 • Solo
I did a tour with Willy last week, really enjoyed the behind the scenes tour of a small rural brewery complete with it's own hop garden! It was a great insight into small scale brewing.

Willie is very knowledgable and friendly guy and happy to chat about all things beer related.

Really enjoyed sampling the core range, and the fuggle porter which I drank while looking at the fuggle hops growing. Grabbed a few take aways while here too!

The tour is $29 well spent for any beer lover to have a look a round Seven sheds, and chat to Willie and Cath.

Excellent craft brewery
Jun. 2018 • Couples
My husband and I visited seven sheds which was a short drive from our accomodation in Sheffield. As it is in a small town and in a somewhat suburban street make sure you keep your eyes open for it otherwise you will drive straight past it like we did. Parking is down a small driveway or kerbside (near the seven shed sign) with a 1 minute walk.

As we were driving, we choose 3 beers that were tasting size (they do have a 5 beer tasting board) the Kentish, the pale ale and the Indian pale ale. All were fantastic but you definitely tell why the Kentish is the flagship beer. We bought two long neck (750 ml) bottles of this.

All up great experience and highly recommended if you are in the area and enjoy beer.

Many thanks for visiting and for your review pink_twinkle_85, yes we are tucked away out of sight from the road but standard cars and single axle vehicles are welcome to drive in and park on-site. Hoping you enjoyed the rest of your time in our area. Cheers Catherine
