The best part of Valley Junction is you are supporting your local West Des Moines economy. These are hard working owners that are trying to make a difference. Very friendly indeed.

It has a quaint feel. The stores are mostly smaller and the owners that I encountered were friendly and helpful.

Valley Junction is a great place to spend an afternoon shopping and exploring unique shops and boutiques. There is a vintage store, many boutiques, a few pubs, a coffee shop, Iowa store and more. It's a great place to kill a few hours!

I heard about the downtown area in Valley Junction and went to check it out. The shops are so quaint. There was an Antique Jamboree happening and that was fun as well. Great restaurants, Wines of Iowa has free tastings and some really good wines...More

Very nice , great food and music. Loved the small shops and outdoor markets. Free parking. Big crowd , sidewalks were a bit tight with my other inlaws wheel chair.

They have the best costume shop in Valley Junction. Anything theatrical you will find there, makeup, jewelry. The place is jammed packed with stuff. Halloween costumes are a plenty.

Some good shops and some restaurants, but reason I go is to people watch. Especially Thursday night farmer's market in the summer.

Was in West Des Moines for the Solheim Cup. Had read about this place so decided to visit. Great little farmer's market with great little food places too. Lots of nice little shops along the street too. Music at 6 but we had to leave....More

From the live music to the street market, this is a fun summer night! The shops stay open for market and often have specials running.

There is one just off Fleur Drive by Grays lake called Jasper Winery. That's the only one in town that I know of
