This is a nice state park with a visitor center. We did not know that the visitor center was closed for the season, so we called a phone number to ask. The park ranger came right over to open it up for us to visit....More

Maybe back in the day of Lewis and Clark. There's even a replica flat-bottom boat like the one Lewis and Clark traveled on. It's beautiful here. Decent hiking. Decent fishing. And lots and lots of peace and quiet.

Stumbled upon this state park. What a great place. Lots if information on Lewis and Clark. Full size replicas on the keel boats used by Lewis and Clark. Ranger was very informative. Located right on the river. Highly recommend.

Found this park to be well manicured, most sites shaded and of coarse the history you get to take in. We didn’t use toilets/showers so can’t speak to one posters negative comments in 2015. Town is close by for laundry and restaurants. We would camp...More

This park earns the lowest spot on my list. DNR is lackluster, the showers had no hot water at all, spots are packed in tight, carp have overrun the lake, powerboats have no care for smaller craft. The camp hosts disappeared on a Sat when...More

What a beautiful park. In October the park is not overly busy. The RV sites are large enough for big rigs. The grounds are well kept and offer full services to no services. The welcome centre is amazing with the replica of Lewis & Clarks...More

as others have said, this is a hidden gem and well worth the stop. Has tables for lunch and set the stage for further exploring in the area.

Restrooms at the historical display are quite nice. It certainly looked like visitors of all ages were enjoying themselves. Mine was a brief visit-- no camping.
