Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You can drive up the hill to North Brother and a spectacular view. The road is bitumen all the way and wide enough to negotiate on busy days. There is good parking and the magnificent views in all directions are worth it. There is a pleasant walk that is signposted from the car park which takes you to another platform for additional views. It’s a bit rough in places, but there is a paved section directly to the platform, also signposted. Not to be missed if you are in the laurieton area.

Leave the car behind and walk up the hill on the track through the beautiful bush. Then you will appreciate the great view all the more. Well maintained national park facilities at the top; information board, many picnic spots and clean toilets, with more toilet rolls than our local supermarket during the initial Covid outbreak.
As the track is steep, we chose to return via the road, which makes for a long walk back to town.

The drive is amazing through the🌳bush🌳 and ⛰️mountains⛰️ on a really nice bitumen road, then it gets better when you reach the lookout for a view of the 🏞️lakes 🏖️oceans and 🏝️beaches. Definitely worth the 10 minute drive from the town centre to see for yourself 🤩🤙.

A Nice little NP with fantastic vistas both North & South ! Looks over all of the waterways of the Canden Haven River , Laurieton , Queens Lake & North Haven to the North. While across the car park & look South and you see Watson Taylor Lake, Dunbogan Beach, Diamond Head & Crowdy Bay NP. Also Middle & Big Brother Mountains. A nice little rest area & conveniences at the top. A winding narrow road gets you to the top or do what my mate & I do and walk up with full packs !! Great training for the Kokoda Trail we found out ! And a hard slog but well worth the result !

This is a place you most certainly need to visit. Up the winding road the to most amazing views and it feels like a picture. Take a picnic or just go for a quick trip it is not far up the track.

We came here on the recommendation of a friend, and we were not disappointed! The views from the North Brother lookout are spectacular. There are also some short walks that you can do if you don’t want to do major hikes through the park. Definitely a must-see!

You're luck if you live at the base of the hill, which we do, and its only a short drive to the top to get the views - and an easy way to sell your friends about the area in which you live. During May-November you get a chance to see whales migrating north and south during the "whale watching" season.
The feature is used as a major sporting event, "King of the Mountain" which involves a foot race to the top.
