We enjoyed a lovely fall visit to the campsite but was turned off by the constant overhang of the DNR and Camp Host. The children were directed to not throw a football around unless they were in the playground area where there were three dead...More

Pretty park located off the Loess Hills Scenic Byway. A local had suggested the overlook as particularly scenic. Would be stunning in the fall! No admission fee. Easy hike to overlook with several benches.

While the scenery is great, this park as a whole feels like a work in progress. We have had family reunions there the last two years and camped there this Memorial Day and overall the area left us wanting. The cabin we rented was poorly...More

Wonderful park and a fantastic drive from Lincoln Ne. Love the fall colors, winding roads through the hills. We used to come here when I was a child to pic nic. Still the same gorgeous scenery.

It's about 10 miles east of I-29. Nice campground with electric hookups and nice bath houses with showers. Not too many larger sites. We are 26ft and there weren't too many sites that would fit bigger RV's. At $16 a night, this was a real bargain.

There's a beautiful scenic overlook you can walk up to while staying here. The only downside is the shower house does not open until April 15th. If it had been open I would have rated it higher. We paid about 15 dollars for the night....More

The overlook and picnic area alone is worth a visit The view is especially beautiful in the fall. I really love the hiking trails and since Iowa doesn't charge an entrance fee for its state parks you get to enjoy about 7 miles of trails...More
