The Des Moines Art Center is an fine museum specializing in 20th and 21st Century American art. It has a curatorial/administrative staff who are committed to bringing engaging contemporary art to Des Moines. Great temporary exhibits!

We enjoyed the Drawing in Space exhibit - tapes and plastics made for some interesting visuals. There were all types of art, so there was something for everyone. We also walked in the rose garden - someone was having their wedding photos done.

Nope! The Des Moines Art Center is always free to visit as is the Pappajohn Sculpture Park downtown. We hope to see you soon!
