This was my first visit to the museum , I live out of town, but won’t be the last. Lovely garden restaurant, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and lovely collection.

This should be a stop on every visitors stay in Des Moines. Choices are limited but always good. Lunch on the patio is perfect in good weather.

Took my 11 year old who loves art and she enjoyed looking at each piece-especially sculpture room. There are some pieces some younger kids might have questions about and some nudity but it isn’t something that should prevent kids from seeing. Lots of historical references...More

Nope! The Des Moines Art Center is always free to visit as is the Pappajohn Sculpture Park downtown. We hope to see you soon!
