Wow, what a great park and atmosphere. We were supposed to head to Minneapolis for a Big League game, but fell in love with Des Moines and the Iowa Cubs!!! Great seats, great fans, and fun fireworks. Only complaint is that a lot of the...More

Principal Park is fantastic. Besides the stunning evening views of the Des Moines skyline beyond the outfield walls and the family-friendly atmosphere, getting to watch the top prospects (and the Chicago Cubs stars sent down to rehab) of the Lovable Losers is enjoyable. While the...More

We spent the evening at an Iowa Cubs game while visiting famiy in Iowa. Lots of concessions and variety. All seats are close to the field being AAA. Parking was tight so get there early if driving as it gets congested with rivers blocking two...More

What a nice experience my wife and I enjoyed. We went to two games over the holiday weekend and enjoyed Principal Park as well as the Iowa Cubs. Game 1 we sat 1 row behind the visitor's dugout so as close to the field as...More

Good place, prices for games. Though it is warm on the 1st base side with the sun blaring down on you. Good activity for the family.

Park was very nice. Parking situation was not great but overall a good time. Would go back again. Missed Schwarber by two games.

I went here to watch a game between the Cubs and the New Orleans team. Yeah, NO won, but how sad to have a city like New Orleans and be stuck in the minor leagues?!

Kinda like the others, the sun can be a detriment for a while but once it goes under the building it is absolutely very nice for seeing the field.

My experience is that except for around July 4th, there are almost always decent tickets available on short notice, the fewer seats you need the better. Yes, rain can be an issue. If it happens to be a sunny day, I'd... More
