The Putnam is a place where people connect with history and ideas by doing, making and experiencing. Our classes and special events are a great complement to our hands-on exhibit galleries. There is always something new to discover and something for everyone at the Putnam.

Lots of hands on activities for the children. The Egyptian mummies are an unexpected item for a museum in a smaller city like Davenport. The place is clean and is worth a half day to see.

Great exhibits for kids to use their fine and large motor skills. Exhibits are a little too advanced for toddlers and early elementary though there are activities within each exhibit for smaller children to participate and learn. The vacuum tubes and scarves had our grandsons...More

Our family loves the Putnam Museum. There are educational exhibits for every age group. It is even becoming more hands-on science for kids. We have never been disappointed in a visit. You can also attend the large screen theater without buying an entrance fee to...More

Totally enjoy every visit we make. Have never been sorry we went. Plan to go for the virtual animal petting. Great place to take children.

Lots of things for kids to do, interactive. I enjoyed the history of the quad cities. Mumies are in the basement. I thought it was a strange place for them to be too.

I'm torn on this review. I read reviews before we traveled to the area and chose this over the other children's museum in the area. We arrived at noon on Sunday when they opened. The parking lot was a ghost town and had lots of...More

I was pleasantly surprised with this museum. I haven't been since I was quite young and they've done a great job with the exhibits. Many STEM exhibits that are hands on and keep the kids interested. It would be great if they made a few...More
