There is an enormous collection of stuffed animals form all over the word. Although now politticaly incorrect it is impressive. Just immagine 80 years abo you could see a komodo varan or several hummingbirds. Alsof Nice collection of artifacts form countries where the missionaris went....More

After an introduction film of 15 minutes, to get an impression of the founding of the building. The selection of articles in the museum is of different kinds, animals, butterflies, local arts, etc etc You can have a nice walk around in the gardens.

The museum is still in the state as it was when it was set up. It takes you back to the 1930s. The collections are awesome. They are the silent witnesses of the good work done by the SVD missionaries all over the world. This...More

The heart of this museum are things like butterflies and taxidermied animals that the missionaries collected. There is a room in the front for other exhibits.

Fantastic and not what we were expecting. Beautiful museum. I'm very interested in the Victorian/Edwardian era, this museum is laid out in that style, unchanged for many years. Wonderfully maintained and still in use monastery. Very intesring for children is the vaste collection of preparated animals. Large butterflies and creepy insects and spiders.
