First: the museum is only open Thursday- Saturday from 10-4. And it is free. When you walk in it's not impressive, but it gets better. Lots of information for adults and things to do for kids. There is a train simulator, you can take free...More

there aren't many museums you are able to get close and personal and interact as much as you can at the union railroad museum. We came from new york just loved it the whole family.

1-3 hours, could be more if you like to do lots of reading. I think Grace may be confusing this museum with the Durham in Omaha, it's the one with the soda fountain. Also if you are going to see this museum in Council... More
