I only rated this a good because the museum was not open when we visited the site. It is worth the few minutes off the highway to visit when passing through Clear Lake especially for rock and roll fans who grew up in the 50's...More

I was hesitant to add this to our Iowa trip. It is a bit off the beaten path and with two teenagers along I didn't know how interested they would be in it. I warned them up front, but showed them the movie LaBamba before...More

Lots of photographs. Good history! The ballroom is more interesting than the museum. Expected to see more memorabilia.

This was my second visit to the Surf. Definitely a great place. Lots of musical history. Interesting video and the docent gave us lots of good information. Follow this visit with a trip to the crash site to understand the day the music died.

They can always come to look at the building and free museum. Would assume they could attend any event not listed as 18 or over
