Small but impressive museum with high quality art. Very extensive collection of Grant Wood. Many other quality artists as well. Would certainly visit again if in the area.

The Cedar Rapids Art Museum was a surprising little gem -- the building is lovely and the collection is really quite nice for a small city's art museum. Plus, the staff is engaging and very friendly.

I've enjoyed each visit to this museum. It isn't the largest museum I've been to but it is well done. Make sure you check out the Grant Wood house just a couple blocks away.

I can't believe that I lived in the area for a decade before I made it to the art museum. It has a good collection including artists with a tie to Iowa.
