Whiting park has always been a family favorite. Old world charm is nicely blended with a new "boardwalk". The park is immaculate and beautifully maintained. Great walking paths, volleyball courts and playgrounds for the kids.

If you're in Whiting, IN you really need to take a walk in this park area. Very clean with an unbeatable view of Lake Michigan and Chicago across the way. Plenty of parking (pay to park). The porch-style swings are a plus.
Nice beach. We walked along the water for a while to pick up sea (lake) glass and interesting pebbles. The beach was very crowded. The Chicago skyline is visible in the distance. Overall very pleasant.
