Walking through cemeteries is a pleasant way to get out of life's hassels. The South bend City Cementry is a wonderful place just to relax and take in the different styles of head stones, the deferent dates and the names.

Visited about 2;30PM 2/24/17.......Quiet, peaceful, very old graves and markers. Several very historical graves and many interesting grave stones. Certainly shows South Bend as an ethnic melting pot from before the mid 1800's. There is ALOT of vandalism here that makes you wish you could...More

Please contact South Bend City Hall to find out when improvements will be made. There is no parking for the oldest cemetery in South Bend. Sorry.

The cemetery is being evaluated for public access. cemetery was opened before cars therefore there is only walk in access. Vandalism has hurt the cemetery. Please contact mayor's office to find out when cemetery may see improvements to allow better access by public
