Here dance, music, theater and cinema aren't charming diversions: They are unconventional inspirations. Home to five performance venues, a performer's hall, scene and costume shops, numerous classrooms and more, it may be difficult to ignore the center's physical presence. The raw size and footage of the center is impressive, yet the center's real strength is its emotional and intellectual impact of integrating the arts into Notre Dame student and community life.

We recently viewed the video taping of the live production from the London Stage of Amadeus. This performance was amazing. If you get an opportunity to experience this location you must give it a try.

The South Bend Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Nancy Menk, performed Pulcinella by Igor Stravinksy. They were joined by several vocal performers. They also performed Vivaldi's Gloria accompanied by the South Bend Chamber Singers. Really great performance by all and there isn't a bad seat...More

The art center itself consists of five different units. The main theater is acoustically one of the better ones in the country. It seats over 1000 and has comfortable seating arrangements. It can be acoustically adjusted for any type of performance, whether a pianist or...More

What a great show! Our expectations were blown out of the water. This was a great venue and high class actors/singers/dancers. We recommend this venue for excellent performing arts.

This is a great setting with a close up view. There is not a bad seat in the house. The center has numerous concert halls, movie theater and performance stages. Just like everything else at Notre Dame it is first class.

It has comfortable seats and is overall just beautiful. I would only add signs that say no food allowed inside, rather than serving it outside and then have the ushers not allow you back inside. Seems a bit sneaky.

Visiting the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center in late December to see the Messiah was a thrill. It is a lovely space with ample seating for most productions (I would guess.) The acoustics were fabulous. The production itself was very well done. Staff was professional and...More

There are several venues here. I have been to a dance event, several small concerts and movies. It is fairly easy to get to, inside the Notre Dame campus, and for the evening events parking is free. Prices depend on the event. Great acoustics.
