We were fortunate enough to be at a wedding mass that allowed us a brief albeit very enjoyable way to see the Basilica. I would love to come back some day for the tour.

Beautiful must see on campus. We were lucky enough to be at a family member's wedding. Gettig to it was a bit difficult but still was wonderful.

I am a little biased since I have worked at the University for more than 20 years. The Basilica is the most beautiful I have ever seen, and the ceiling takes your breath, there are tours available.

Tours are available. Plan on attending mass even if you are not Catholic. The Basilica has a fabulous organ.

If you are visiting the Notre Dame Campus, this is a must. It must have been redone recently as everything sparkled and it is an awe-inspiring place.

The basilica was one stop on our trip around and through the campus at Notre Dame. The basilica is breath-takingly beautiful, and the architecture is awe inspiring. I'm not particularly religious, but it's hard not to be impressed with the beauty and grandeur of such...More

So uplifting. Simply beautiful. We were there for the rosary before a Notre Dame game and for Mass after the game. Awesome experience. So neat to see a church so packed that they have to turn people away (fire marshal laws)

The church from the outside does not do the inside justice. The amazing colors inside were beautiful. Able to walk around the church during the rosary and take pictures.

I have visited the Basilica before the mass, but it was wonderful anyway. It is a really beautiful and peaceful place, totally worth visiting. Every bit of it, the decoration and details, it is so adorably done. If you are looking for a Catholic environment...More

Having seen the grandeur of some European cathedrals, we think that this magnificent structure is right up (albeit on a smaller scale) there with the very best. Beautiful! And, the stained glass collection comprised in the windows is the largest of its kind anywhere as...More

Thanks for the responses, no it wasn't a joke question, 😉. I had a friend who was visiting and brought her "baby". I did contact the basilica who shared my assumption that only service dogs were allowed. Thanks for the... More

Sue, took care of the entire process. I believe, that while you can certainly visit the Basilica on your own, the docents' knowledge adds a lot to the experience. I also arranged the campus tour thru the Eck Center but... More
