Having seen various pictures of the waterfalls and my parents had visited the falls 10 years ago saying it was lovely we decided to take a look. The walk itself was lovely but the site is in a very poor state. Fallen trees, logs twigs etc all need clearing from the waters. The steep path to the top is in a poor condition. I assume with the lack of snow this past winter that the volume of water flowing is much reduced and maybe this does usually clear a lot of the debris.
5 lev entrance fee is nothing to be honest and hopefully as summer nears, the site will be prepared for summer visitors.

I visited twice this area and I was impressed by his beauty. There are marked trails with bridges, benches and balustrades to make safe tours. Below you will find restaurants, hotels, villas, shops and even a pool. The paths are not heavy even for an old man. If you can, you can spend a whole day here, you will not get bored in the middle of the nature. After my opinion it is a strongy recommended destination.

The Krushunskiye waterfalls is a listed attraction situated just outside Lovech town in Bulgaria. You need a private car to come here because there are no public buses. A short walk of 300m from the car park will bring you to the first level of the waterfalls. There are multiple pools and cascades as you climb to higher levels of the fall. Some falls are damaged by a recent landslide, but still there are some falls and pools that remained. The whole trip will take an hour. But if you wish to explore higher parts on some tougher trails, there's more climbing to do, and may offer different views of the fall. But I did not climb any further other than the designated path.

Following on from a visit to Devetashka cave we drove about 20mins to get to the parking lot for visiting the Kurushuna Falls. After paying a small entrance fee and receiving a map, we walked to the start of the two trail heads. In this area there is a small restaurant that sells pizza, and there are some public conveniences. The first trail takes you past the main falls and a rather beautiful blue pool where we stopped for a picnic. The trail loops back to the trail head, where the second trail can be embarked upon. The second trail is a bit harder work than the first, but my six year old managed just fine. The trail goes past some caves under the overhang of a cliff, then onto a "hidden" fall.

There is a play area near the parking lot, and a swimming pool, although it was not in operation while we were there (April).

The falls and the cave made for a rather nice day out.

Extremely picturesque waterfall and a must see if you are in the area. It is a 1km hike or so from the carpark to the waterfall, so 2km round trip. But it is worth the hike. The only thing I didn't like is the lack of English signs. I still can't understand how a marketed tourist attraction has only the native language for signs and information. I don't expect 17 different languages but at least English! There is only one board near the entrance which has a map with both Bulgarian and English. Past that board everything is in Bulgarian only so it helps to know that vodopad means waterfall. Many of the other warnings and signs attached to trees I have no clue what they meant!

Great scenery. The only thing I hated about the place was the restaurants located before the route to the waterfall - they were barbecuing outside and it is impossible to go to the waterfalls without absorbing the smell of barbecue in your clothes and hair.

This small eco-trail will amaze you. The sights force you to stop and admire. Krushuna waterfalls are a natural water travertine cascade. Along the river has many thresholds. The largest waterfall descends from about 20 m. You will cross the 15 wooden bridges so you can see the falls in all their beauty. Full tour for about 1:30 h. The water is colored bright blue-green. This is due to the dissolved travertine inside. This is a type of limestone that exudes blue color in the water. A few months ago at the beginning of the path discovered mineral water swimming pool (entrance € 2).
I do not recommend visiting waterfalls weekend. This wonderful place has one drawback - in the heart of nature there is a restaurant! We visited the falls on Saturday when the restaurant had a gypsy wedding. High decibels of disgusting ‘chalga’ music deafened our walk all the time.

One of the best places to visit when exploring the nature of Bulgaria. The hike isn’t intense and besides, it is known as the shortest eco-trail in Bulgaria, so it is appropriate also for children. Just don’t forget to put on some comfortable shoes. There is an entrance fee of 3lv and the whole tour would take around 2h. These majestic waterfalls are 2h 30 min away from Sofia, so you can definitely make a day trip to Krushuna and back. However, there are also amazing caves to visit in the region, so why not just stay one night in Lovech and explore all the surrounding beauty. The Devetashka cave is just 15km distance from the waterfalls and it's so worth seeing. Highly recommend to all nature lovers.

These waterfalls are beautiful. Easily accessible for all fitness levels this place is a MUST see! Although some areas are now cordoned off due to safety, we did see some young traveller still climb the falls albeit at their own risk. The views and trial however that have been put in place is really very nice and I would thoroughly recommend coming here.

The first time I saw pictures,I did not believe this was in Bulgaria.
Visited it 2 times and am still quite amazed by the beauty of this place. The waterfalls are amphitheatrical,so there are small ponds along the way. There is also a cave situated right next to the waterfall. And in the near vicinity there are a few more caves that are a must to visit.

And the "entrance fee" was 0,50 euros... :)
