The Model T Museum is nestled in the heart of Richmond, Indiana’s Historic Depot District. Once “the” transportation mecca of the 19th century, it is now a “must-see” destination filled with notable architecture, unique shops, stunning murals, fun and fabulous restaurants, a chocolatier, a microbrewery and much more!

Ranked #1 by Trip Advisor of attractions in Richmond, Indiana, the museum’s amazing collection of vehicles and T-related memorabilia is ever growing and changing. Among the stars are a 1909 touring (one of the very first Ts), a 1923 English-built town car, a 1925 fire truck, a 1927 coupe (one of the last Ts) and a 1931 Pietenpol airplane with a Model T Engine. Educational opportunities include an extensive reference library; a cutaway chassis that reveals the inner workings of the T; plus a variety of manuals, publications, CDs and restoration DVDs available for purchase. The museum welcomes school and tour groups.

What a great find. The place is small yet jam-packed and when Justin offers to show you around, take him up on it. I've traveled quite a bit and been on many tours, but the knowledge Justin shared and the enthusiasm for the cars was contagious. Although a smaller museum, it had probably 10-15 cars and I know so much... More

Thanks so much for stopping in to the Museum! I'm glad you enjoyed the Ts and the Tour. Justin really makes history come alive for our visitors, doesn't he. Like you said, we may be a small museum but we pack something interesting and informative into every square inch. Please do schedule a return visit after June when the new... More

I took my wife for a weekend getaway to Richmond, Indiana. During our stay we stopped at the Model T Museum. It was fantastic! If trip advisor gives an award (and if they don't, they should!) for the best tour guide in America, we'd like to nominate Justin! He brought to life the stories behind each and every Model T... If you get the opportunity to be at the museum when Justin is, it is an incredible experience! He seems to be able to do it all at the museum and truly has a great passion for the model T's. Richmond is blessed to have the model T museum and great people like Justin to help run it.

This extraordinary museum located in the quaint Depot District of Richmond, Indiana, is well worth the trip. You step back in time and see travel as it was in the early 1900's.

One of our last outings with our grandson found us in the museum. Our grandson relished in reading placards to his grandmother. He was fascinated with the cut-aways and diagrams of how things depicted worked. This is a very well done museum and at very little cost is a pleasure to visit. The "Silver Streak" is a really fun exhibit... More

While the museum has interesting points our experience did not come close to any of the reviews. The person in the museum offered a tour but seemed like it would be a bother. I wish that he would have at least suggested that he could tell us a bit of interesting facts or stories about the cars or that there... More

I took a busload of senior citizens here. When we arrived, it looked small and I had my doubts about it but we couldn't have been more pleased with Justin, our extremely knowledgeable and personable docent and the wonderful contents of the museum. This is a small, inexpensive museum that features Model Ts but has a few other cars to display. It usually isn't very busy so the volunteer docents give you a personal tour, and they are very knowledgeable about all the cars on display and Model Ts in general.
