We were camping nearby and wanted to get some brekkie, arrived just before 10am waiting with a few others for it to open. Really nice atmosphere, staff were nice and greeted us.
Being vegetarian and don’t eat eggs, I found there wasn’t really any savoury veggie options that I wanted so I wondered if I could ask for toast and something already on the menu but take off the meat, eggs and mushrooms. I really just wanted simple toast with the veggies and chutney but they didn’t have anything like that on the menu. I know it’s a pain for the staff to put this through so I was really apologetic and asked if it was possible. It was a bit awkward as I could tell it was a major inconvenience with no “don’t worry”s or “not a problem” and just silence when I apologised a few times. He put it through reluctantly and as it was a bit expensive I asked if it would be the same price to which he said “ummm I can knock of a couple of dollars”, I’m not sure bacon, sausages, eggs and mushrooms equates to $2 but I appreciated that I was causing a hassle for them.
The food was AMAZING!! Still really big even with all the stuff taken off! I loved it so much and you could taste the freshness especially with the fire cooked tomato! I didn’t mention it to the staff as I still ate it but feel maybe a lot of people would be put off by but my strawberry was half eaten by some kind of insect or mouse and the chef just placed it so the bites were hidden which was kind of funny.
Anyway overall a great place, those issues weren’t too major (although by reading some reviews would have been for some people!) and I understand the inconvenience I caused - the food was still lovely!

This is a great find. Inside or outside dining. The food is pretty good. The deserts and ice creams are lovely. A little overpriced.

Loved it here! Lunch was amazing, especially the sweet potato chips. Great spot for families as there is lots of space for them to run around outside.

We found this by accident, located as it is off the service road. I was struck by the range of GF cakes. My lemon meringue was absolutely delicious. Probably the best I have ever tasted. I had a soy cappuccino which had a very distinct taste which I didn’t like but that is just my taste. My partner was good enough to buy me a Willie Warmer(strong spiced beer). Bonus.

This is one of the best cafe in Tasmania northwest coast. Food, service and coffee are excellent. I visited with my friends this month, we had pizza and garden salad, everything is nice and fresh. Even it’s very busy, but staffs in the cafe are still aware of social distance. Lovely place, could visit more than once.

Delicious breakfast. We have a 2 year old - there was high chairs and plenty of room for him to run outside. The scones were the best I have ever had - fluffy on the inside but that slight crunch on the outside. Both breakfast meals were excellent. Coffee was great also. Nice setting with an outside area for the kiddies to walk around. Would absolute have gone back if we had time.

Beautiful sunny day to go to Turners Beach and pick strawberries at the Berry Patch. Many people at the Patch which was great to see people supporting the local economy in times like this. Beautifully set out grounds with room for children to run and play. Alfresco and indoor dining with plenty of shade. I enjoyed the freshness and being able to pick my own strawberries. You pay at the counter and you are given a container. As I picker I enjoyed eating a few samples, but there was a variety to choose from Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries just follow the signs. I didn’t see any blackberries even though I searched for them. Perhaps next time. The menu has changed from previously advertised, so I cling wrapped my strawberries and beat a hasty departure back to Latrobe.

The Berry Patch is a great lunch or morning tea spot, perfect for families with kids as there is a lot on offer to keep them entertained. Loved the berry picking experience, berries were very fresh and a great thing to take home. I enjoyed morning tea with friends here, ordered a lemon meringue which was delicious. Would definitely come again.

Planning to visit on 31/3/19. Is this a good time for any of the berries picking?

Hi. At that time we pretty much only have strawberries for picking. The cafe and farm shop is open too.

Hi some friends of mine are heading to Tassie in a couple of weeks, I'm guessing that picking season is finished for a while now?

Yes unfortunately berry season is over now. We typically have berries from November to April or May. We still have our cafe open but we close for the entire month of June.

Won't allow me to submit my review as keeps saying there is an error. I have submitted others on the same day and after. Here is my review:
Dropped in for some lunch on way home from Burnie to Devonport about 3.15pm. Was told could only get something from the dessert case which had about 6 choices in it. Don't understand why you don't offer other food eg: pizza, soup, sandwiches, rolls, wraps, pies, sausage rolls, nachos, quiche, Devonshire tea etc etc Can understand why we couldn't get a proper sit down lunch but to not offer anything at all. Not good business.

Hi jinglebel, Have you tried to re-submit your review, one reason it may have not gone through is that TA often have a maintenance shut down where editing of any type won't go through. Try reviewing again, and I agree if an eating establishment is open and it's reasonably early in the day a menu choice should be offered, but if very late I would understand why they offered a limited choice.
Try reviewing again.
