We were camping nearby and wanted to get some brekkie, arrived just before 10am waiting with a few others for it to open. Really nice atmosphere, staff were nice and greeted us.

Being vegetarian and don’t eat eggs, I found there wasn’t really any savoury veggie options that I wanted so I wondered if I could ask for toast and something already on the menu but take off the meat, eggs and mushrooms. I really just wanted simple toast with the veggies and chutney but they didn’t have anything like that on the menu. I know it’s a pain for the staff to put this through so I was really apologetic and asked if it was possible. It was a bit awkward as I could tell it was a major inconvenience with no “don’t worry”s or “not a problem” and just silence when I apologised a few times. He put it through reluctantly and as it was a bit expensive I asked if it would be the same price to which he said “ummm I can knock of a couple of dollars”, I’m not sure bacon, sausages, eggs and mushrooms equates to $2 but I appreciated that I was causing a hassle for them.

The food was AMAZING!! Still really big even with all the stuff taken off! I loved it so much and you could taste the freshness especially with the fire cooked tomato! I didn’t mention it to the staff as I still ate it but feel maybe a lot of people would be put off by but my strawberry was half eaten by some kind of insect or mouse and the chef just placed it so the bites were hidden which was kind of funny.

Anyway overall a great place, those issues weren’t too major (although by reading some reviews would have been for some people!) and I understand the inconvenience I caused - the food was still lovely!

This is one of the best cafe in Tasmania northwest coast. Food, service and coffee are excellent. I visited with my friends this month, we had pizza and garden salad, everything is nice and fresh. Even it’s very busy, but staffs in the cafe are still aware of social distance. Lovely place, could visit more than once.

The restaurant in the Berry Patch has recently started offering a limited French menu on Friday and Saturday nights. The food is fabulous and really authentic French. Booking is highly recommended

Only open on Friday nights for dinner "PIZZA ONLY" they offer nice lunch menus everyday - so why not on Friday Night. Pretty disappointing. Every one seems to be doing pizza lately. No where nice to dine on Friday nights. Although wood fire Pizza pretty ordinary not much fillings for the price. Okay for a family fun night.

This is incorrect. We do offer our menu on Friday evenings. It is not "PIZZA ONLY" at all.

The Berry Patch is a great place to dine, especially with the kids as they have so much for them to keep entertained.
Not sure what happened to the kids menu, but were told this is no longer.... weird when so much of the place is set up to entertain kids🤔
We were looking forward to one of their cheese platters but were told they were far too busy and in future we needed to phone ahead and order.!
What’s the difference in preparing a platter or making a pizza!
Oh, and I should mention the staff welcomed us with ‘please sanitize and take a seat’, which we obliged, only to find the tables filthy, not cleaned, let alone sanitized.... but hey, our hands are clean!!!!
#confused
Get it together guys.

Sorry you were so disappointed. We have temporarily changed our menu to reduce the sharing options while Covid 19 restrictions exist and to help with safe distancing recommendations. We make almost all the products on our platter and currently we are not trying to encourage shared meals so this must be done to order. As was explained to you we can offer our platter if pre ordered for smaller groups. The difference in preparing our platter and a pizza is actually a lot. Our current menu has a good selection of children's options but we are currently not offering a dedicated childs menu. This was introduced when our maximum number of guests was reduced under covid regulations and we needed a menu that worked for takeaway as well as sit in. These changes are temporary and we will revert to something more like our normal offer as soon as we can. We sanitise all tables between guests, every time. This can take some time so you must have chosen a table which was not yet ready. We are certainly disappointed with your harsh review but we do feel our staff are very committed and are doing a fantastic job, occasionally we can do better but we are always working to improve and get it right.

My friends coaxed me into having lunch here after a considerable time away from this cafe after the last time I was here. I ordered a chocolate milkshake and Turkish pita. When the milkshake came it was warm, glass coldish, milk warm. When I went back to front counter I noticed that the milk was left on the counter whilst they served and took other clients orders. They did give me a new milkshake but this isnt good food handling. Wont be back, as there were other factors that made me shudder.

Beautiful sunny day to go to Turners Beach and pick strawberries at the Berry Patch. Many people at the Patch which was great to see people supporting the local economy in times like this. Beautifully set out grounds with room for children to run and play. Alfresco and indoor dining with plenty of shade. I enjoyed the freshness and being able to pick my own strawberries. You pay at the counter and you are given a container. As I picker I enjoyed eating a few samples, but there was a variety to choose from Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries just follow the signs. I didn’t see any blackberries even though I searched for them. Perhaps next time. The menu has changed from previously advertised, so I cling wrapped my strawberries and beat a hasty departure back to Latrobe.

Just had lunch here. Enjoyed very delicious pizza option followed by raspberry soft serve ice cream. We ate outside as the weather had improved. Fun things for the children to do by the looks of it. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. You have the option of ordering using a QR code system with mryum which worked well when they were a bit busy at the front desk. We had a vegetarian and a Greek lamb pizza- both hot and flavoursome.
Busy even though midweek out of season. Highly recommend you book ahead not to be disappointed.

Wow an amazing place for morning tea or lunch. Berries were fantastic. Can recommend the savoury scones and the berry tart. Strawberries that taste like you remember them. Don’t miss this spot.

Thanks, we agree. Supermarket strawberries might keep well but not how we like em.

Delicious breakfast. We have a 2 year old - there was high chairs and plenty of room for him to run outside. The scones were the best I have ever had - fluffy on the inside but that slight crunch on the outside. Both breakfast meals were excellent. Coffee was great also. Nice setting with an outside area for the kiddies to walk around. Would absolute have gone back if we had time.
