Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Koolamara Waters is an amazing local gem rich with native flora, abundant water birds and large wetland systems.

It is an easy walk taking in some changing flora and views across to Lysterfield hills and green belt. Depending on the time of day and season, amazing sunsets and sunrises are natural beauties of this area.

Quite a small park with a little playground, with interesting birdlife watching. Right next to a housing development and popular with locals but there are open paddocks opposite the road.

this area used to be a wasteland of low lying flood prone land with poor soil. its now a truly unique purpose built platypus habitat that is also home to numerous bird species.the amount of ducks here is a joy. it was developed by the housing developers, melbourne water and the australian platypus conservancy to harness the flood water from monbulk creek to create a platypus breeding wetland. now you have a great boardwalk with numerous bird species on show

My visit to Koolamara Water reserve was very relaxing and easy going there's a nice walk that goes around the area and at one section you can choose the long path or the short. There is a park for the kids with a nice seating area for lunch. There is also a small area on the lake where you can look and learn about the different types of ducks.
