Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great sport to sit back and relax.

This is a 4 1/4 hs area of landscaped gardens and lawns all surrounding a large ornimental lake.
Seating is available but many chose to sit on the lovely green sloping grass.
Public toilets are avaiable, and there is a large childrens playground.

A monor criticism for a gardiner is that although an arboretum, not of the scrubs or trees are names.

My wife and I visited this place during our drive home from a holiday in Dandenong Ranges where we stayed for two nights in a holiday cottage in Olinda.

Tim Neville Arboretum has sun-filled and shaded grassy areas, offering a picture-perfect place to picnic. There's a beautiful lake and wetlands system complete with ducks and plenty of birds. We saw a Kingfisher bird and a variety of parrots.

The Arboretum also has picnic tables, picnic shelters, a number of BBQ’s, a large gazebo, an amphitheatre, a sculptured wall, ample seating, walking pathways, fountains, Knox’s war memorial, stormwater treatment and habitat wetland, public toilets and a large playground.

We walked across the entire Park to enjoy the views and the exercise.

A great park for a easy relax stroll. Even my dog enjoyed the stroll. It is an on lashed park. There is also an enclosed children playground. Take time to explore, you will find some great spot to play hide & seek with kids. Lots of unique plots for picnic. Great landscape, full used of a 'small' area but full of serenity corner to chill.

I took my son here this morning for a short visit. We ended up staying for two hours.

The council have done an amazing job in transforming this park and making it suitable for all ages.

On the southern end are a large gazebo for under cover entertaining and a small amphitheater which is perfect for spring and weddings (too hot in the heat of summer).

At the northern end is a child's playground extending for around 1.5 acres. It has something for all ages - sandpits, two flying foxes, swings, slides, climbing ropes and more. It is enclosed by a large fence with locks to reduce the chance of little ones walking off.

Many of the paths in the children's area are made from a rubberised compound to minimise injury after a fall.

The small lakes offer great lookout areas for children to see the ducks up close, without the risk of falling into the water.

Take a hat, sandpit toys and a picnic lunch. There are no food shops within walking distance.

Having lived not far from Tim Nevill Arboretum, and knowing about the upgrades we decided to go for a walk through this area.
Was extremely impressed with the work done and the atmosphere it created for families to be entertained.
There are plenty of ducks and birds, great for everyone to watch. The lake is just fabulous.
Pathways very even and easy to walk on.

The gardens are beautiful. Lovely lake with plenty ofvducks which the kids enjoyed
Clean amenities. The war memorial is very new and nice silent part of the gardens. The playground is a safe and plenty to do. The amenities are clean and so to the BBQ and table areas. There is also a pavilion for uncertain weather.

A small rather inconsequential park opposite some local shops best sums this little park. It has some pleasant water features and seats to take your ease but little to attract the actual tourist.

The main function of the park seems to be for young children to use the swings etc. Their squeals of delight permeate the park and are somewhat amusing if you are in a receptive mood and probably nerve shattering if you aren't.

A nice little green space in Ferntree Gully but not something you need to visit.

This is another park that has changed a lot since I was younger and playing on it myself, the playground is safe and has lots of variety for the kids to play on and the park its self has plenty of spots to sit down and watch the birds or have a picnic on a nice sunny day.
