Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A friend & I visited today to follow the walking trails. We walked along the Army Track to North Boundary Track. There are some steep hills so you need to be reasonably fit. We found the signage quite poor in parts & we would encourage the Parks Victoria staff to review these. Lovely bushy area away from traffic & with great views from the high points.

The Churchill and Lysterfield Park area is, for the majority of people who drive along Stud or Wellington roads to work each and every day, probably an unexplored treasure in their own backyards. We have visited it on several occasions recently walking tracks in both of the adjoining parks to end up at the same trig (high) point. Along the way the scenery is brilliant and the wildlife abounds, especially the kangaroos and wallabies who sit idly by as you virtually stroll by them. The view from the trig point atop the old quarry site, provides a 180 degree panorama of Port Phillip Bay and south eastern suburbs. The walks to the high point can be paced to suite and we have tackled both the very steep (heavy going) and a more gradual ascent, which was much kinder on ageing legs. Parks Victoria provides a good pdf file of the parks and their walks in their website www.parkweb.vic.gov.au, which would be worth getting if considering the visit. Don't just drive passed any more - stop and smell the kangaroos!

Peaceful walk through the trees, kangaroo jumping here and there in close proximity. Uphill walk gives a good cardio workout. Throw a piece of meat on the BBQ, good ambience.

We walked and walked hoping to spot kangaroos but no luck. The signage were not properly placed. Got lost a few times. Had to use toilets but they were all locked.
Not going again.

We came to this place accidentally while on way to visit a friend. It happened to be a very beautiful, calm and peaceful place. There were lush green lawns, farms, animals, a small pond making it look like a beautiful painting. We were smitten by its beauty. It has an eatery with least options for vegetarian people. It also had a shop which sold jewellery, hats, stones, crystals, body lotions, soaps etc. It was fun shopping at this place. We spent our complete day here hanging from one place to another. They also offer place to stay for people who want to spend a night or so over here. All in all an extremely fabulous outing we had at the Churchill park.

Having lived in Melbourne since 1981 I had no idea this lovely national Park was up behind Rowville where the quarries are - which you can't see. We were about 100 metres in and there were wild kangaroos with lots of joeys in the pouches. This is well maintained and the paths are wide, so in summer if a snake was coming out of the bush you would see it. Don't suggest poking around near the water holes though as the snakes love frogs. We went to the pinnacle and the view back t he city and across the bay is superb - a well hidden secret.

Spectacular Australian bush.we walked from the Churchill visitors area to trig point and back, the a picnic at the picnic area. We walked around 10 K in total. Lots of birds and a few close up views of grey? kangaroos. You need to print off a map from the website before you go as the signs are a bit cryptic. We liked the area so much we will do a few more walks in this area. I would rate the walk as easy to medium with a few very steep hills. Good gravel paths.

This park is so special. So peaceful, no crowds. Came here on a Saturday morning and walked several of the gorgeous trails. The most memorable was Syphon Walk because we must have seen over 30 Eastern Grey Roos and several swamp wallabies! There were more on the other trails as well but this was the mother lode. What's great is this beautiful place is just a 45 min drive away from home! (Watch out for bikers zooming by!)

Looks like a lovely place for a family or group gathering or picnic. Lots of walking tracks and easy to follow. We did not have much time and did a nice easy 300m loop walk from the picnic area. Not far out from the residential areas but felt like a world away from the city.

Churchill has actually been combined with Lysterfield Lake National Park which makes the overall size of the reserve quite extensive. Each park has its own charm and is entirely different from the other. Churchill is great for viewing Eastern Grey Kangaroos which abound there and are easily seen once you leave the picnic area and venture along the Bayview track. Spring is the best time here for birdwatching whereas cycling and water sports are best at Lysterfield in Summer.
