We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a shame this place doesn’t exist.....perhaps they should update this on google. We hired a car and banked on this place being open to help plan our trip to the dandenong ranges. We are from New Zealand, so perhaps more self sufficient than other nationalities. I can only imagine some of the poor tourists who don’t speak English would have run into problems. Lack of tourist information is poor in this area. Sad.

THis place was closed down a while ago much to my disgust due to everyone using their mobiles for info. The government department responsible for this awesome info centre decided to close it without a thought to who actually uses it. The staff who manned this information centre were volunteers who did a great job for tourism in this area.
So you need to take this down (sadly) from your site

From the city, you take the Belgrave line and it will be 1 hour 4 mins to get to Upper Ferntree station. Then you walk 800 Km to the park.

It's free to enjoy the trails here.

There is no trash bin around so you have to take all of your trash home.

We chose the very steep and narrow way up the top which took us an hour (or so) to reach it. Be careful of the slippery and muddy stairs. Wear something ready to get soak and wet.

I felt so tired up there that I rested for 30 mins and chose another easier way down :)

For a Pokémon catcher, you will find many Poke-stops and Gyms here too.

I've been to the Dandy ranges a couple of times, all for medium hikes. There is a great selection of paths to take (don't be afraid to do a bit of exploring as well). Highly recommended for both short (1-5 km) and medium (7-15 km) hikes. For those looking to do the medium hikes it's best to plan your way first (google is the best resource for this).

I have mainly done the hikes from Grant's Picnic Ground of Sherbrooke Forest - beautiful hikes with flora and fauna to keep you occupied.
