- Trail098607569357 contributionsBest of the bestexcellently described. I would add that Tivat has the best microclimate in every sense. Especially enjoyment for families, active vacations and hedonism. Preseason and postseason are the best options. Hiking on the Vrmac, tennis courts, open gym, padel courts, water sports, enjoying resorts, cafes with the most delicious food, beautiful nature. Humane place, according to man. We stayed for a month in Mia Casa apartments, a little separated from the center and yet close (with a view of the bay). Beautiful, spacious, we only hear crickets and enjoy the shade of the kiwi. - A S2 contributionsBest restaurant in Marina Porto MontenegroI spend several days in Marina Porto Montenegro and I had the opportunity to have lunch and dinner for a couple of days in this magnificent restaurant. The food is great, and the service spectacular. I was served by the adorable Camila, Mariano and Marta Cortés. All of them made my stay unforgettable due to their friendliness and professionalism, they made me feel like I was in Spain with an absolute command of several languages.Visited June 2024Travelled soloWritten 2 June 2024
- Joanne F4 contributionsImmaculate hotel and gardens, great location. This hotel is beautiful, immaculately maintained and in a prime location with easy access to bars/restaurants & shops with a beautifully located pool area (resembles a beach club) across the promenade on the beach. We found the staff very friendly (learning a few common words helped) and the service was excellent. Breakfast was also fantastic such a great selection of international food (if you remember you are in a hotel that caters for multiple nationalities so embrace it). We had a double room which was compact but perfectly adequate for sleeping and getting ready, if you like more space then upgrade. The surrounding area was perfect for a meander at night and restaurants offered great food for reasonable prices. They were working on the promenade whilst we were there, grinding bricks for the block paved pathway and health and safety isn't top of the list but this is nearly finished and out of the hotels control. We would definitely return great access to Dubrovnik too and Herceg Novi was an easy half an hour walk away. We used the hotel spa which was also beautiful and the treatments looked reasonably priced. We would definitely return.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 June 2024

Beautiful area to walk around. Vibrant atmosphere, impressive yachts and nice promenade. Also there are plenty of restaurants and bars for every taste.
For sure it is a must in Tivat, I specially recommend it on evenings for the lights of the port.

Porto Montenegro is the yachting port of the city, where there are just a lot of different yachts and boats. From the biggest to the smallest. And in all this splendour, you catch yourself thinking that no boat is like another. Each has its own unique and vibrant design. It is gratifying that human thought is ready to offer absolutely original embodiments of such beauty.
I certainly didn't miss the opportunity to take a photo of a yacht with my name on it.
The port was opened in 2010. The project envisages that it can accommodate more than 600 yachts, of which about 150 are super-yachts, which can be as long as 150 meters.
Next door are beautiful hotels with swimming pools, plenty of restaurants and pretty installations accompanied by water fountains.

On vacation in Montenegro for a week we had booked accommodation in Tivat for a few days, to visit the region. What was our astonishment when we discovered Porto Montenegro on the first evening! Luxury boutiques from Dior, Rolex and everything in between. Mega yachts in the marina and 4/5* hotels, including the Regent, absolutely magnificent. And obviously the clientele that goes with this kind of place, not quite the same people as us but a good experience overall: very clean place and cozy atmosphere.
The city center of Tivat, which borders Porto Montenegro, is light years away from its prestigious neighbor!

Stunning stunning stunning. What a place. You definitelly must visit even if you just want to go for a walk. However there are great restaurants and coffee shops as well. The atmospehre especially in the evening is a one big party, during the day you get to room around in a peaceful, modern and very relaxing place.

Nice place to walk. You can look at the beautiful houses built by the quay and at the same time take a peek at the yachts. There are many lovely restaurants and cafes along the road. Unfortunately, the prices in them are expensive.

Tivat is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor, and is dominated by the stunning Porto Montenegro, a new marina, full of superyachts, shopping, and restaurants also has its own airport just 10 minutes drive.
You could easily spend a week here exploring, dining and relaxing by the beach.
Great community, friendly people, and you are spoilt for choice to dine.
This place just ticks all the boxes, has a development plan, which is the complete opposite of Budva.

This area is simply a wealthy marina lined with restaurants and some scattered places that during the warmer months, you could possibly lay a towel and relax with your feet in the water. But not a traditional beach location per se. It is fun to see all of the mega yachts. Everyone was speaking Russian, it’s quite popular with the Russian yacht crowd. So for people watching, it’s worth a visit, but it’s nothing like the ancient town of Kotor or any of the other villages in the area. This is a brand new, modern area with condos and buildings with expensive restaurants.
If you are driving around and find yourself in the area, it’s a great stop for lunch, coffee, or even dinner, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. It’s truly no different than any marina I’ve seen in the United States and there is absolutely no historical charm whatsoever.

This is one of recently bult things in Montenegro that is done with style and good taste, a really pleasant surprise for me. We visited first time this year, had a walk, some coffee and lunch. There a lot of luxury and everyone will be able to find something for him to enjoy. A lot of yachts, nice marina, great dining options etc. Really nice.

Worth a visit to marvel at the fancy yatchs and some great designer shops but the promonade is a joy to walk along! Food is expensive but really good, had a great afternoon here. Park at the main car park for PM near the start of the promonad. On the oyhe side the beach looked great for the kids although we were sadly short on time :(

Can you purchase a day ticket to access to Yacht Pool Club?I will be staying in a nearby hotel but would like to rent sunbeds at the infinity pool?

Yes you can buy day passes. A bit expensive but worth it. I believe it was around $60+ euros a pass

Please, please ... is there anywhere I can leave two cabin bags in Porto Montenegro for the day as our plane doesn't leave until late afternoon.
I have a wheelchair and I'm seriously debating not taking that because I cannot use the wheelchair myself so it would mean my sitting there with two cases balanced on top of each other for the day lol.
Of course, not taking the wheelchair will mean I have to stay in the apartment all,the time.
If we can leave our bags somewhere at least my husband can push me around for the day.
Thank you,
