This place is in an awesome location and has great beer. We enjoyed the sunshine with a great view. Unfortunately the ground was super waterlogged and left us all covered in mud. We enjoyed the beer but the food was poor. A few adjustments could make this place incredible. For one there was only two staff in the whole place. One running the counter, pouring beers and waiting on everyone with the other in the kitchen.

The activities available for kids was awesome - Soccer, trampoline, cricket etc. unfortunately the owners kids were also using them and were horrible when our kids tried to join in with the gear.

A few more staff, drainage and a bit more effort put into the menu and kitchen would make this a 10 out of 10 experience.

We came here as a group of 11, including 3 children aged between 8-11. It was a beautiful summer day and it was the perfect spot for a relaxed afternoon.

Unlike some of the wineries that are limited for space and not very suitable for kids, Waitiri Creek is ideal. They have tons of space and heaps of activities. This includes a trampoline, volleyball court, cricket pitch, croquet and lots of board games.

The beer, wine and food were all good. I wouldthoroughly recommend it and will definitely be back on my next visit.

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Although we booked there was plenty of space on a public holiday.

We were greeted with a really warm welcome given options on seating and finally settled on the deck in the sun.

A lovely drink choices sampling the Pinot Noir and the Beer Flights, an fantastic way to start the afternoon.

Lunch included the Beef Brisket on a Turkish Bun and the Truffle Mushroom Pizza. The servings were generous with half of the pizza making the trip home with us and the food was delicious.

I can not speak highly enough of the service from all of the team at Cargo. My companion was on crutches and I asked if I could park closer to the building and this was no problem at all.

We were assisted to get to into the building, moving chairs and patrons to gain access, which was lovely.

We spent about 2 and a half hours, enjoying the sun, the scenery and the food, and the team checked in to make sure we were good and made us feel at home.

Can't recommend this place enough and will return again.

Have been staying in Queenstown for 11 days and this was our last day sight seeing and stopping at these amazing places along the way. We stopped at Cargo Brewery and the place is beautiful. The only down side to this visit was the service we got... the young lady behind the counter was more interested in cleaning the cutlery than serving us.. not a hello or anything from this young girl.. we stayed for a drink , but decided to go up the road to eat due to the service. Please note that the Cargo Brewery at Arthur’s Point has 110% amazing service. Maybe the girl behind the counter was having a bad day, but we won’t be returning when we are back next time.

We stopped by after a visit to one the local wineries, and discovered a great range of craft beers. Staff were very helpful with tips on which beers to select as some of the styles of beer were a little confusing. My wife opted for the flight of wines which were well priced and very good also.

We had time on our tour to stop here for a tasting board. The selections of beer and wine available were great and very affordable. The staff were friendly and the outdoor setting was excellent. The old church was great and the local cat made a visit to us. I enjoyed the 'everything pinot' tasting board and my wife had a mixed board. It is a great stop to relax and take in the scenery while soaking in the sun.

The beer was cold and fine. The food? Well I have no idea as after 90 minutes we gave up. And by the looks of the several tables of angry people around us we weren’t the only ones. Didn’t get a refund as there was a queue inside of people trying to get there’s. So if you are after a drink great. If you have patience of job and a few hours to kill the chips and pizza I did see from afar looked acceptable.

The staff were fantastic and really friendly, great little menu and both craft beer and wine tasting. The venue has spectacular views with a huge field and lots of room and games for kids to run around and play while adults sit back in the sun and sample the wears. This was probably my favourite visit amongst the five or six vineyards we visited in the Queenstown area. Definitely five star!

Great beer, great venue. A must see for an otherwise dull road!

They have tasting paddles for beer, mine or mix and match which is not something I'd seen before so something for everyone. The two ladies behind the bar were knowledgeable, friendly and happy to chat through the options even though the place was pretty busy.

Will certainly return.

My friend and I stopped in at the end of a long day in Queenstown, and immediately fell in love. Despite the Feb heat, this was the most relaxing place to spend a few hours. Great wine and beer and beautiful setting!
