Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The old bridge itself is great to look at & to walk across. The middle point is dominated by a modern bungy-jumping station which, while fun for some, spoils the aesthetics for others. Next to the bridge there's a vantage point, cafe & toilets.

The 120-metre long bridge is famed in part for being in the Lord of the Rings. It was designed about 1880, and one of the first of its design and wind-resistant characteristics.

We stopped in here as a group and some did the bungee jump. This is where it all started, pretty cool to watch (I didn't do it).

This was such a good experience. Everyone must try this (if healthy enough). The staff at aj hackett bungee are so cool and reassuring. Loved it.

The bridge itself would be a nice tourist attraction, but it's dominated by the bungee operation. Even if you're not jumping, you should stop by here and stay for a half hour or so and watch people take the leap of faith. You can walk out onto the bridge and get a good view of the river, which is a flourescent blue green color, and even stand behind the jump team and listen to them as they encourage the jumpers. There are souvenirs in the bungee shop, and a small outside snack bar/bar with a large viewing deck.

You have to stop here and check out the great old bridge and the beautiful gorge with its awesome river and colour of the water, not only that you get to see people throw themselves off a perfectly good bridge which is great entertainment as some hesitate with fear and others simply jump, lots of fun to watch 😂

The bridge is famous for the Hollywood movie, Lord of the Rings. We were driven in a group with AATKings and the views of the bridge with the river was amazing.

Great spot to stop and watch a few crazy people jump off the bridge! Love that part of the proceeds of the nearby bungee jump place keep the suspension bridge in action. Beautiful spot.
