For years the Michigan City lakefront was a seedy mess. Not true anymore. Wow. Beautiful beaches. Plenty of parking. Modern, clean facilities. Perfect for families and sun worshipers.

Great beach to spend the day with family. Beach is clean and not too packed. Keep in mind it is Lake Michigan so the water is cold and you must watch your family when they are in the water!

There is a cement patio area right next to the parking lot, before you enter the sand. I have seen people using portable gas grills on the cement patio.

I don't know of anywhere on the beach itself to rent jet skis. As others have said, you might want to Google rentals.
