the animals were kept in too small of cages, nowhere for the large cat family to run. Most of the pens didn't have adequate bedding, alot of fecus left in pens and flys were awful. I will not go again. I took pictures of the...More

Took my 9 month old Granddaughter to this zoo and it is perfect for little ones. It was the right size for. By the time we were done she was getting tired. Nice variety of animals. Right across the street from the Lake Michigan beach....More

The zoo was larger than it looked from the outside. Nice variety of animals and easy to walk through. We didn't go in the tower but did ride the little train (a little pricey in my opinion but the kids loved it).

The Washington Park Zoo is great for families, especially those with small children. Just enough variety and hands-on experiences without being overwhelming. The Zoo is a terrific asset to this area!

The zoo has many but not all animals. No elephants or giraffes. It is easy to get around the zoo. The bird exhibit was excellent for little kids. You can cover the entire grounds in about 2 hours at a casual pace.

Some reviews seem unfair. Yes, it's small. Yes, it's old. But they have a nice variety of animals and the place has charm. My young son really enjoyed himself.

Personally, I feel animals should be free to roam around in nature, then again without zoos some animals we'd never know they exist and enjoy. The Washington Park Zoo was AMAZING! My favorite moments are captured in my photos here but what resonated most with...More

We are regular zoo people, visiting different ones every time we go on vacation. This was our first visit to WPZ and it was worth it. The price is reasonable for the small size. You are pretty close to most if the animals though much...More

At only $7/adult and $6/child, it was well worth the cost. It is pretty small, but clean and has a nice variety of species. Don't miss all of the indoor exhibits! And take the time to follow the path to the tower! It's well worth...More
