We went for the guided tour of the Barker Mansion today. We couldn't believe how well taken care of this house was! We got there a little early for the 1pm guided tour and were told to look around while we waited. The furnishings were gorgeous! The guide was knowledgeable and informative.Because it was the winter season and not very crowded-we... More

Looking to explore another vintage era house, we traveled to Michigan City(about 45 away) on a Friday afternoon. We were warmly greeted by TJ and strolled the first floor while waiting for the guided tour. He was very well learned about the mansion and shared the info freely. Looking forward to going in the summer to see the gardens.

It was the most beautiful and interesting tour we went on through the Mansion. The tour guides were very informative and enjoyed the questions asked by everyone. Very... More

The volunteer at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. We all enjoyed taking this tour and learned a lot of information. A nice... More

This is a great place to visit. It is decorated for the time period. They offer both self guided tours and employee guided tours. Check for the tour times.

I've visited the Barker Mansion many times and I'm always in pressed by the style and elegance this mansion holds. If you're in town then I would highly recommend visiting. They host tours and decorate for Christmas.

My mom and I were on our annual shopping trip at the outlet stores when we passed by this mansion. There was a sign that it was open for a guided tour today. What a great find. The historic mansion has so much history and has original decor and furnishings. Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained the rooms and... More
