The food, wine and hospitality were superb. Beyond expectations. Thought we would enjoy a glass of wine and had the bonus of experiencing the culinary delights of highly talented Chef Blade's menu.

We had a farewell party in the garden today. The service was excellent and seamless. Joel was a very skilled staff member and very accomodating to all our needs. I wiuld highly revommend organising a function here and the canapes were great. Thanks to the Archive team!

Thank Archive Wine Bar for an amazing night recently, as we celebrated a special family occasion. Such a perfect venue, great hospitality, atmosphere, food and drinks. Couldn't have asked for better communication and flexibility as we planned our event during this crazy time. We look forward to returning again soon.

This wonderful wine bar has become my favourite watering hole. Because I have visited so often there is now obviously a personal element involved - so take this into account if you wish.
Ingrid and Graham and ALL the staff are friendly and charming and try very hard to give you the best experience possible. The wine list is gargantuan and gives you a chance to try great wines by the glass when you would never spend the money on a bottle to have at home.
The food is excellent and you have a wide choice of top quality cheeses, meats and all the other items you might want to have on your platter.
There are areas inside, outside in a delightful area, and in "the shed" for smallish functions.
I have always found Graham to be super helpful with regard to choosing wines to have. If there is any doubt he will check with you about what styles you normally have and will then guide you from there.
I have made friends with several of the other regulars and the atmosphere is always convivial.
Graham organises regular tastings which are always educative and fun.
There are other wine bars in Geelong and I have been to the majority of them. They are all good and have many positive points about them. Archive though, in my humble opinion, is the best of them.

Attended this venue with a group of 11 for a birthday, we prepaid $25 a head for what was described as ‘plenty’ of food. We were provided with two platters (on the menu these were $45 each), a small bowl of pretzels, popcorn and corn chips with salsa.
When I raised this with a staff member, she assured us that was the extent of the package. We were perplexed where our $275 went as we were all left starving, barely having eaten more than a few items each. We asked to speak to the manager and was told Ingrid will be over to chat to us to explain the breakdown.
Another platter then arrived at our table and 45 minutes later Ingrid attended to us. She informed us that the platters had extra items on them and that that was the extent of the package we paid for. Ingrid was very short with us, told us that they were short staffed, and she wasn’t prepared to deal with this any further and thanked us for the ‘feed back’.
Will not be returning and will be warning all our friends and family. There are much more reasonably priced wine bars, with friendly owners, in Geelong city.

This new little place has become one of my favourites in a very short period of time.
The staff are immensely kind and helpful, very knowledgeable, without being arrogant or condescending. The set up is a pleasant, yet casual enough to not be too pretentious. There is a huge range of drinks to choose from, with a 'short-list' if you're too spoilt for choice. Thank you for a lovely couple of visits, I'll be back soon!

This wine bar is in an unprepossessing part of the city ,way south of the CBD but worth the drive, taxi or walk.
It is partly owned by the people from Lethbridge wines hence an excellent selection of their wines but these are far outweighed by a wide selection from local and international sources. Many wines are available by 70cl or 150 cl measures so one can taste a selection. The Coravin system used ensures that all are fresh.
The food menu is compact but well suits the focus of the bar. We had an excellent Gorgonzola melt, a chorizo salad and a few other bits and enjoyed all.
I was able to enjoy two wines from Kernoer and my wife really liked her 2016 Lethbridge Indra. And the source if the name, the inners’ daughter was serving.
Quite an excellent wine bar and one which gives most city examples a case of embarrassment.

Loved our visit here. A vast range of wine and other drinks there is literally something for everyone. Incredible knowledge of staff and so friendly and welcoming.
Spent a lovely afternoon there and the food was beautiful and wonderfully presented.
Already looking forward to our next visit.

We've been to Archive quite a few times now & it keeps getting better. Huge choice of wines & beers. A small but quality food offering & great service. Prices to suit anyone. Clean comfortable environment.

Great wine bar with an interesting wine list including sparking wines and champagne by the glass. Service alway extremely pleasant . You feel you have dropped into a friends place for a drink. Food platter wholesome and good value. Third time and will be back.
