Dive Bar jazz club. Perfect location for great live jazz and atmosphere. Went on a Sunday night which is a no cover night. It is a dive, but I say that as a guy that loves going to dives to hear great music. Heard some great straight up jazz. Biggest issue getting there was parking, as it seemed like a... More

I've been coming to the CBox for a few years now. They've got an excellent rotation of musicians that play every night of the week... though I usually make it down for Sophie on Wednesdays because she's just too fun. There's no cover Monday-Thursday which makes it the perfect place to settle in after a long work day. They've got... More

Ok so this place.... How do I say it. It's a dump. But I mean that in the most charming, loving, and respectful way. They have amazing music, great service and attentive bar staff, a cozy and intimate atmosphere, as well as a great patio! Do not come here for the food, the clean counters, roomy sparkling bathrooms, or the... More

I love good jazz, and good jazz is hard to come by, except in New Orleans or New York City. I was delightfully surprised to find some great jazz here last weekend! I can't wait until my next trip to Indy to go back!!

Stopped by for early drinks and sat in the smoking area on the streetside patio with heaters for chilly weather. (Reputed to be one of the best "people watching sites in the city.) Great drinks and brews, reasonable prices, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Eclectic "décor" inside reflects the small tavern's many years of history. The club is said... More

I stopped in at the Chatterbox AGAIN on my Friday 6/26/15 trip to Indy and once again was not disappointed. I have been going to the Chatterbox for over 23-years and never, ever, been disappointed in the quality of the jazz offered by owner David Andrichik. Interior designer alert! David has done absolutely nothing to upgrade the decor for over... More

The place has been open for years and a great place to go to listen to some good music. The place needs a little updating. I would go again!

We went on a Friday night at about 10:30, where there was a $5 cover to listen to the live Latin music. (There are different live bands all the time.) It was chilly outside, but they had outdoor heaters. We could still hear the music, even outside. The drinks were fun and interesting, with a moderate price. The only surprising/negative... More

One of the oldest bars in town. Back in the day the Rolling Stones jammed out here - they've signed the fridge that you can see under the TV In the bar. The Chatterbox is a real jazz lovers haven. A tiny bar located in the hip Mass Ave. district of downtown Indianapolis. A small stage towards the front of... More
