Indiana State Capital looks better than it did in the 50's, One of my first jobs was to deliver rubber stamps and seals to various offices in the State Capital.

I have my Capitol book that I am trying to fill, and the Indiana Capitol is one of the nicest ones. Beautiful decor. They even have a chapel... They even have a sign between 1 and 3 you can pray for the country! Also they...More

The ceilings are beautiful along with all the stairs. Perfect for a wedding, field trip, or to just educate yourself.

There's never a lot to see in capital buildings, but it's about the scenery. If you have free time in Indianapolis, I recommend you make sure to see this.

Beautiful old building with statues. It was raining, so didn't stay to long to explore further. Worth a stop.

The downtown is easy to maneuver around, we enjoyed walking to many sites downtown Indy. The beauty of this Indiana marble is exquisite. Loved the stairwells and attention to details.

Very nice capitol building - ornate interior. The first portion of the tour is done sitting in rows of chairs in the rotunda listening to the guide. Many school students in our group, so it tended to be more a primer of "how government works"...More

Group tours need to be arranged in advance, depending upon the size of the group--of course. I suggest you go to the Statehouse website and find contact info about tours. When we visited in March, we "tagged along" with a... More
