Great way to learn about percussion and drumming while experiencing it first hand. Great way to try out many different instruments! Nice gift shop with lots of different offerings. No food or drinks are allowed so go to Panera (located upstairs) after you see the museum. 😉

Most likely I'm a non-traditional visitor. I'm not really a drummer (but I love the drums) and I went alone without kids. I went at right around opening time on a Tuesday morning. To the best of my knowledge I was the only guest during the hour I spent. I read all the signs, banged all the drums (especially that... More

We have a budding percussion player who is constantly banging on everything in our house, laying down tracks on garage band and beat boxing. He loved the chance to play on drum sets, and a plethora of other percussive instruments throughout this place. My 3 younger kids had a lot of fun with it too. I was able to enjoy... More

I visited the Center with adult friends from another country who were interested in seeing various percussion instruments. It was a fun visit as we moved from room to room and read the different explanations, watched the short videos and enjoyed the hands on experience with the instruments. Seeing the drums from different countries was very rewarding. This is a... More

This is a really great smaller museum that kids of all ages will love. There is every type of drum imaginable that you can play with. There are a few exhibits that are hands-off for display purposes, but just about everything else is interactive and you can play to your hearts content. They even offer ear plugs for the more... We had some extra time in Indy, so after consulting TripAdvisor, we decided to try this place. With 2 boys, 11 and 6, I was interested in a place where I wouldn't have to constantly tell them to be quiet and stop touching things, and RDC filled that bill!! We were lucky that a drum circle had just started when... More

I had a Groupon for this visit so the cost was greatly discounted. It was a bit difficult to find the place but worth it. I took my Kindergarten age grandson who is into music and he loved it. He was able to try all kinds of instruments but definitely the full sized drum set in the sound proof studio... More

We visited this "percussion museum" recently with our 16 year old son (who is a drummer) and several neices and nephews ranging from 10 to 18 years old. we all enjoyed our time here. We were impressed by the drum kits belonging to important percussionists from assorted eras such as Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Neal Peart and The Beatles. The... More

This place is truly a hidden gem. It is fun for both kids and adults. You get to play all kinds of percussion instruments and not have to worry about the noise lever. There are also a couple sound proof rooms with complete drum sets where you can really go crazy.
