The grounds are amazing for families to walk. Beautiful area and lots of room for kids to run. While the inside maybe isn’t ideal for kids the grounds are free and you can come back on a date without the kids.

The Winterlights exhibit is very well done and worth a visit. There are a million lights throughout the grounds which will be on display until January 7th. I recommend reserving tickets for 5:00, as the sun is just setting. Over the course of the hour...More

The Penrod festival would be ideal....my other favorite for local artist is the Broad Ripple Art festival and Talbot Street Fair. Both are very well attended try it again this year.
