This famous Courthouse, the tree 🌲 growing out of the Bell Tower, is being remodeled. This city is known for this anomaly, & well as is strolling around the square.

At present the courthouse is surrounded by scaffolding so the tree is hardly visible. However, Greensburg is a lovely old town and well worth a visit.

This is definitely not a destination stop, to see a tree only. It is however worth the stop through on any vacation if passing through to say you saw it. I would classify it as a classic roadside curiosity stop, like seeing the biggest ball...More

Unfortunately there was construction or renovation happening and the tree was barely viewable behind the scaffolding around it.

I love to add a bit of weirdness to our family trips. This place fits the bill. A tree growing out the top of the courthouse. Snap a pic and move on.

It is very strange to see a tree growing out of the roof of the courthouse!! We went to Stories Restaurant. It is across the street from the courthouse. Not a lot to see except the tree and a few shops around the town square.

I grew up close to Greensburg, IN. THEN I moved to Indianapolis, IN. If I tell anyone that I'm from south of Greensburg, IN they say...." ahhh, the town where the tree is growing out of the courthouse?" I say...YUP!!

A tree has been growing out of this courthouse for as long as I remember. It's a neat thing to see in person.
