Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fort Wayne's Art Museum is well lit and understated enough to let visitors focuse on the art. While considered a regional museum, they have had exhibits of Andrew Wyatt, Norman Rockwell, and other well known painters. We have also seen a traveling exhibit of Chihuly's students glass sculptors here. The rotating permanent art collection is also worth seeing. The museum uses it's time, energy and creativity to successfully bring great art to the Ft Wayne area.

The place was nearly empty, so it was a peaceful experience. The works of art were mostly contemporaneous, and were very varied. The glass exhibit was amazing. I did not recommend it for kids because of the many pottery and glass exhibits that were displayed on pedestals and shelves. Older kids should be okay.

We came here because they had a traveling Mucha exhibit which we both enjoy. I do stained & fused glass as a hobby. I was excited to see the glass works that were on display. Several of the glass pieces use optical effects to give you different views from different angles. The static displays were very nicely done as well.

My daughter and I visited the museum for an enlightening and interesting experience. There are many things to see. I especially liked the rooms dedicated to student art.
Admission fees are reasonable. $20 for a family, $8 adults, $6 for students/children/seniors.
Active duty military’s duty Veterans are free.

There were four exhibits open the day I was there - took less than an hour but definitely worth it. Most of the art was interesting and attractive. The real find is the gift shop which has real art for sale instead of mass-market tchotchkes. Prices were affordable and much more enjoyable to acquire a handmade art object or jewelry than something produced in a factory. Recommended!

Maybe I just do not appreciate the art work at this establishment. I give it an average review. Maybe I will check back on this and write another review.

The 2nd Thursday every month is free at the FWMOA with some sort of yummy treats and a cash bar in the Paradigm Gallery. My husband and I made a date of it. We toured the museum exhibits, had a glass of wine and some hors de oerves and enjoyed the art in the Paradigm retail gallery where Abby, the gallery manager, is friendly and informative about the art and artists. Definitely put this on your to do list if you're in the area.

We enjoyed our visit with young children- they loved the kids area. It was a great change to see art from living artists. In a convenient location too for walking to lunch.

Technically there is some art there and it is in Fort Wayne... I think you see where this is going. Just go with out high expectations and you'll have a better time. In all fairness having been to some of the better museums in the US Fort Wayne is not that big of a town so maybe it's not fair to compare that way but I thought it should be free admission all the time then it would be fair. I think it was last fall we were there in case there has been some big addition you want to see, I kind of blocked it out lol.
