Description:

Located in Downtown Evansville, Indiana, The Koch Family Children's Museum...

Located in Downtown Evansville, Indiana, The Koch Family Children's Museum of Evansville (cMoe) offers over 18,000 square feet of galleries and exhibits, housed in a beautiful historic Art Deco building once home to the public library. The mission of the museum is to spark the curious minds and imaginations of children and their families through dynamic exhibits, programs, and activities. Museum staff and supporters strive to meet that mission everyday by encouraging young minds to explore all that cMoe offers and experience learning through play. Children (and their parents) are encouraged to play hands-on with galleries and exhibits. Popular favorites include performing a play in the 5th Street Theater, splashing in the Wet Deck, climbing through Moe the two-story duck, playing the laser harp, acting like a booger in a giant nose, and chatting with the talking Mark Twain bust. cMoe is located within walking distance to downtown restaurants and other attractions. Hours of Operation Tuesday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday: Noon to 5 p.m. CLOSED MONDAYS

Both from a parent's point-of-view and as a teacher, this is an outstanding museum. Everything works and is fun to try. On top of that, it is all an educational experience. Even the toilet (upstairs) has an educational explanation of feces! Our entire group of adults and children had a lot of fun. Expect to spend a couple of hours... More

Came here on a cold day to get some energy out and there was so much to keep our 2 year old entertained. It seemed to have all kinds of toys for all age groups and some activities for more advanced kids too like building a bridge or putting car parts together. There were so many different things to do... More

We visited here during our Christmas vacation with our two year old son and had a blast. Tickets were reasonably priced, and our son kept running to and from the different areas within the museum. Each area was well kept and allowed our son to experience different types of activities. It was unique, too, experiencing it all in an old... More

I took my 7 year old nephew and we had a blast! It's a place where you have to use your imagination! At first, he just ran around looking at things, but after a while, he really got in to pretending and figuring out the exhibits. We spent about 3 hours there. You will lose a kid, but don't worry,... Great place for kids and the kid in you. Lots to do and the area has some nice restaurants in the revitalized downtown with The Ford Center for sports action and concerts a short walk away.

We had a great time, there could have been some more supervision at the chi it that blows the tulle scarves out of the tubes. There were some very rough children. But that's just kids being kids. The water room was a hit with my kids.
