You definitely need to visit here if you're in the area. My brother worked at Camp Atterbury for many years, & I am fortunate enough to have seen a lot more of it than people can see now days due to the increased security. Visitors now don't get to see what a massive place this is, and all the different... More

We visited the POW Chapel down the road from main post Camp Atterbury. Nice to see a piece of history being preserved. Not a huge tourist attraction but a must see if in the area, especially with kids. A teachable moment for kids about past world events.

Stopped by here to see the vintage military equipment they have on display. This is still a very active military base. There are public places such as the area where the military vehicles are displayed but a lot of the base is secure.

I was stationed here at Camp Atterbury back in 1982 to 1984, I was in charge of computer support for the ADSW Program. Back then it was more like dodge City without a Sheriff. Later on in the early 1990's they torn down a great deal of the old barracks and built new billeting areas, training buildings, messhalls, PX aqnd... More

Not just national guard trained here, but thousands of regular soldiers trained up here for Iraq and Afghanistan. Realistic FOB bases for the soldiers to stay at while in the field, and model middle eastern towns to train in. This is also a historical site, as it served the same function during WWII. Old passenger train cars that soldiers in... More

We stopped by to see the tanks they have out for display. They have several old military vehicles that you can walk right up to and take pictures. It was was a cool way to spend 30 minutes and best of all free!

Local training facility, but also has a gun range and outdoor hunting and fishing area for anyone to use. It's a nice place to go and spend time in the outdoors whether alone, with friends, or with family.

They have a nice display of older military equipment that is in a little park that is open to the public to view. We were looking for a county park that didn't end up being anything but saw this.

A military installation offering the standard barracks, mini-PX Shopette, a pool, and campgrounds. It is clean and has many new modern buildings.
