Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As an Australian with a Grandfather that served here our trip and walk around was very close to my heart. The overwhelming feeling was horror at the waste of life, the loss of a generation and given the impact on my relative, a misery that should never be repeated. I am amazed at the manner in which people conducted themselves and the example in sacrifice that they showed, but ultimately to what end? There is a belief in the manner our forebears acted in good faith, against incredible odds but the peace does not hide the broken families back in Oz

A very somber reminder of the price of war. Very beautiful grounds to walk through and pay your respects to the fallen. It's a must for every Australian and my children learnt a lot for our visit.

To say just visiting this place is a huge understatement. Both my wife & I visited here to honour all the brave young diggers from Australia & NZ who lost their lives in the Great War. Just viewing the head stones of the soldiers was very moving & just doing this review is making me teary. A beautiful memorial & the staff are so informative. I urge every young Aussie to visit here & honour the brave young men who fought so hard to keep us safe & never forget them.

Head behind the Memorial Tower and spend time at the Sir John Monash Centre - you won't be disappointed.

In addition to the John Monash Center, the Australian national monument, the large grounds also contain the graves of numerous Australian and New Zealand soldiers of the 1st century. World War I. The graves are beautifully laid out and the complex is well maintained.
