Downtown Corydon provides an excellent lesson in Indiana's history! Within one square block is the first State Capitol building, monuments to the Civil War Battle of Corydon, significant antislavery legal battles at the Harrison County courthouse that's also on the grounds,, and a wonderful sculpture...More

This area of Corydon around the capital building is gorgeous at Christmas. The light display at night is very fairytale like. Enjoyable by all ages. The older buildings in the area allow exploration of Indiana and of Corydon as the state's first capital.

What a great piece of early Indiana history. Denver was our tour guide, and that guy knew his stuff! Being local to the area, he has embraced his town's history as well as Indiana's and was full of tidbits. The sites are wonderfully preserved and...More

I had some extra time last Saturday afternoon so I took the advice of the lady at the Visitor’s Center and bought a guided tour. Denver, our guide, was personable, patiently answering questions and seemed not only very knowledgeable, but enthusiastic about sharing information from...More
