Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An interesting evening’s viewing. The planetarium dome is large and seating ok.
Beware if you go to any of the shows aimed at younger children as there will be a hair amount of shrieking!
The staff were very helpful with one of our group who was struggling with the stairs and they directed us to the lift.
While they offer headsets at the shop for €1, you can use any standard headphones (not apple lightning plug ones) and you can plug in to the socket in the arm of your seat to hear the commentary in English.

We had time to burn before heading to the port for our overnight ferry to Crete, thus we opted to take the kids (2 & 5) to the planetarium. Located near Stavros Niarchos Park, there are additional things (like the park) that you can combine with a stop at the planetarium. The planetarium really has two components (separate admission fees) - the planetarium side offers a large theater for viewing of movies/IMAX films and then there is a separate interactive technology lab for kids. While our 2 & 5 year olds enjoyed running around and exploring the lab side, it really was geared for a slightly older age profile. The planetarium side is cool for all ages, though our little guys got a bit spooked, so we left slightly early. I would not go too far out of your way to visit here unless a) you have never been to a planetarium or b) your group REALLY wants to go. We enjoyed it but would probably not return for a 2nd time if in Athens again.

We went there with our children 13 and 6 years old since all the guide books and the tourist information suggested this as children attraction. Here you can enjoy only movies projected at 360° and nothing else. The language of the movies is Greek but a translation in English is available. To enjoy the English translation you have to buy the headphones at 1€ on top of the ticket that cost 6€ for adults and 4€ for the children. The problem is that these headphones are useless and you won't be able to listen the English translation both because you just have 1 headphone and also because the volume in the movie theatre is too high.
I don't suggest to go there is you are not local of you don't speak fluent Greek.

In a short distance from the center of Athens is a hidden gem of this town.
A real must see for locals and tourists
So many things to learn for every member of the family.
The High technology they are using is so futuristic and every program organized really good.
Will keep busy for long time my memory....

It took most of the morning to research how to get a bus from Syntagma to the planetarium, which didn't come so we caught a cab. They dropped us off there and it was closed. No mention anywhere on the website or anywhere else why. Frustrated, we caught a bus back to our apartment which took the longest route possible. Your tourism is one of your last resorts for income Athens, don't screw it up by having nothing helpful in English!

I thought that need to visit planetarium because we had a child with us but I was wrong.
Plametarium is for all ages. Even if you will visit The Science and Technology Center Athena the new exhibition or even if you watch the shows in the theatre of the planetarium you will enjoy whatever age you are.
Also is very positive that shows are every 45 minutes ad are not the same thus you can watch more than one.
Had maybe the best time in Athens during our visit to planetarium.

We went to this place which is actually far from the city center. There werent too many people and we asked them if the show is in English. They asked us to buy headsets which had English version. When the show finally started, we were completely disappointed as the show was in Greek and it was so loud that one xould not hear anything in the headset. To top it, 2 out of 3 headsets were not even working. We conplained to the staff but they could not help much. It was a sheer waste of time, effort and money.

The Eugenides Planetarium in Athens, is located in Paleo Faliro, at the end of Syngrou and near Poseidonos avenue. It is housed in a magnificent neoclassical 1950s building and it was renovated in 2003. The space is fantastic with beautiful white marble floors and a lovely entrance. Eugenides Planetarium is one of the largest and best equipped digital planetariums in Europe and it has a large IMAX style digital cinema called “The Dome” where specialized movies for all ages are projected at 360°. The sound and the video quality are outstanding. (But this kind of spectacle could cause dizziness to some people like myself).
Although the movies (6€ for adults and 4€ for children per ticket) are in Greek, translation is available in other languages but headphones are charged (1€ or so). Visitors have been complaining that they were not able to hear the translation because volume is too high in the dome.
The visitor must not miss out to visit the relevant site and contact the reception BEFORE his visit, in order to be informed about the timetable, the film themes and the ticket availability because schools and groups visit the premises very often and there is a possibility to face a lack of tickets.
Eugenides Planetarium has an Interactive science and technology exhibition all year round, and it usually hosts other interesting exhibitions as well. It also has an excellent Science & Technology Lab covering various themes but the admission to the science group needs to be confirmed in advance. It also houses an excellent library, a quite interesting gift shop, and a small café.

To find their website, please google search for this:
ΙΔΡΥΜΑ ΕΥΓΕΝΙΔΟΥ / ΠΛΑΝΗΤΑΡΙΟ
Just copy paste it.
Unfortunately, english version seem not working.
Thus I recommend to auto translate it using the google service for webpage translation.
Hopefully you will get what you need to know. I am really sorry I can't be of help but you see every event has different hours and every day is different.
My love to all Argentina from Greece.

I am not sure. The show we watched was in Greek. TripAdvisor doesn’t allow me to copy you the url. Try googling eugenidio planetarium to contact them to ask them. They should have translating headphones but this is just a guess.
