There are a number of these giants on Route 66. This one was turned into an astronaut during the early space era. This one is particularly well done and well placed. It's right on Route 66 going through Wilmington. I tried to see as many...More

Really a treat to see and fun to photograph. It’s well maintained. Right nearby there is a store that is being turned into a museum which will open soon!

We loved our Route 66 trip from Chicago to Santa Monica. We had a book with all the must see sights and this was one of them. It certainly is unusual. Made a nice addition to our photo book of iconic sights along the way.

What can I say, this 28 foot giant, that weighs 438 pounds is worth stopping for a photo op when touring Route 66. You will be stopping at many fun places along the route. So, make sure you have a selfie stick!

When friends/kins visited my country home in Wilmington, I always give them some sightseeing suggestions. Gemini Giant is the top tourist attraction in Wilmington, probably worth a 10-minute photo op and visit the gift shop with nostalgic souvenirs. Some worthwhile stops: - antique shops, and...More

Such an amazing place. The owners Holly and Tully are warm and inviting. Restoring this iconic restaurant back to it's glory. A great welcoming center for now, but soon to open it's doors as a restaurant. This historic place is a great place to visit.

The Gemini Giant at Wilmington was on our list of must-do's for our Route 66 trip, and we weren't disappointed! The original roadside restaurant has been restored by its new owners - though no food was available when we visited, as the kitchen was still...More

It’s on Route 66 and next to a fabulous cafe/gift shop. Fun to get a good selfie with the Gemini Giant. Plenty of parking. Worth a stop

A throwback to the heady days of Route 66, the Gemini Giant still looms large over Route 66, tempting travellers to stop and head inside. Unfortunately the Launching Pad is currently being developed and is only operating as a gift shop but it is understood...More
