.. or part of it. Rented a bike and was told about this trail by locals. Started in Victoria and went to the Best Buy Overpass (quite a ways) then turned around. Wonderful ride~! I happen to bring a pack-able jacket and leather gloves and was comfortable in the overcast weather. Strongly suggest seeing Victoria from a bicycle. Would go... More

Great place for a hike or biking. Gentle trail, former train line so no steep climbs. Really scenic, great place for a walk or to bike.

So have recently gotten some bikes and we went out for a couple of rides. First we went from Mattocks farm in Saanich to Sidney and the first half of the ride out through the country is great, but after Saanichton it's all road and kinda boring into Sidney..probably won't do that much. Today went from Mackenzie through Blenkinsop to... More

My mother and I enjoyed our bicycle ride from swartz bay ferry terminal into downtown Victoria. The entire ride 1-way was about 33 km. The ride is We then took a BC Transit bus back, with our bike on the front of the bus. Each bus can accommodate 2 bikes. Towards Sydney on the way back, we decided to do... More

The trail is well marked and easy to follow. The only snag came on a lunch stop in Cordova Bay when I missed the turn and had to back track.

The first section of the trail (14 or 15 k) near Victoria is pretty urban. It really starts to get nice about mile post 20K and then is a great ride up to Sooke Potholes Park at about milepost 50K

We rode the Goose on what was the start of our bike ride on the TCT. In all we rode to Princeton. This was one of the funnest sections of the TCT we rode. If you are in Victoria and have the time, it would be a great way to spend an afternoon or full day depending on how much... More

My husband and I, both avid cyclists, spent our last day in Victoria exploring the cycling trails. The network is fairly well developed and extends quite far into Colwood, Sooke and ultimately Leechtown from downtown Victoria (about 55 km) and connects with other bike paths, such as the E&N Rail and Lochside. Some of the signs to redirect you to... More

Live about 20 feet away from Kilometre 12 on the Goose. My dog Coco and I love this paved trail and will either do this walk instead of Thetis Lake or in combo. Lovely walk to Goldstream Road and then we walk over to the Juan de Fuca Library and take the walk back along the highway to home of... More
