I was just there in September and we didn't have to pay to park at all? Very short walk to get to the falls. We had less than 10min and were able to make the hike up behind the falls and back in less than that!

Hey, it is possible but that would mean no stops until you get there. I would probably allow for a little bit more time which would give you time to stop for example on Hellisheidi. The waterfall is beautiful the later the evening gets because it is facing west. Have a safe trip!
