Seljalandsfoss is unique because you can actually walk behind the falls. We went in early April and it was cold! We had our waterproof coats, shoes and gloves on and made a go of it! You definitely get wet! It can be slippery on the...More

With the beautiful Icelandic golden moss glittering in the sun, the Seljalandsfoss, along with some smaller waterfalls around it, makes up a really magnificent sight along the ring road.

This is famous for enjoying seeing waterfall from behind its waterfall. But you can't go behind the waterfall n winter, the trail around the waterfall is frozen. It might be better to visit in summer. This waterfall is near to Reykjavik. It takes about 2...More

Great waterfall! Multiple vantage points for great photos. You can walk behind this one. You get pretty wet walking up the steps on the right side. Left side can get slippery and need to climb some rocks and it was a bit muddy when we...More

On the golden circle route, so packed with tourists, parking does cost 700kr which is a bit of a joke, however the waterfall is beautiful, you can't get right up behind it following the paths, that is if you ignore the winter closed signs like...More

This is one of those waterfalls visible when doing the Golden Circle drive. It was beautiful and easily accessible from the road. Highly recommend bringing your rain gear as you can walk behind the falls. There were rainbows when I visited and it was gorgeous....More

Iceland seems to be the country of waterfalls and Seljalandsfoss lives up to that name. It might not be as impressive as Gullfoss, but even in winter it is spectacular. Plus the location, just off the ring road makes it easily accessible, I only wish...More

This was my first stop on an early morning drive. Arrived at approximately 10:30am and the lot was already quite crowded, despite this being in January. There is a $2 parking fee. I did the full circle walk behind the waterfall. A tad bit dangerous...More

A series of waterfalls just off the ring road. Some parts closed due to wintery icy conditions. Some lovely ice forming on the streams from the waterfalls.

I was just there in September and we didn't have to pay to park at all? Very short walk to get to the falls. We had less than 10min and were able to make the hike up behind the falls and back in less than that!
