We went there on a sunny day in the morning and hence must have seen the best. Starting from Kirkjubaejarklaustur from our hotel in less than 2 hours we reached this place. Through out the route, stunning views of Glacier melt mountains looking like a river stopped frozen halfway was great to see. In Jokulsarlon lagoon there is a small... More

If you go to Iceland this place is a must it's well worth the very long drive from Reykjavik! We couldn't go out on the boats at the lagoon has frozen over so the boats can no longer get out in to the water. We was there just before sun set and had the pleasure of watching five seals swimming... More

we were there for the sunset, around 5:20pm, maybe because of the darkness I could not see very far, but It looked to me much smaller than expected. Nevertheless worth the ride. I would have like to have a mit more time with more sunlight, but sunset was also beautiful. Also something i like is that at every attraction there... More

We went to the Ice Cave and it was simply amazing. The guides were very knowledgeable and they provided us gear to get in safely. The cave is not that long (~200m) and we could explore it ourselves. All the colors and shades were amazing. It was not as cold and it could get crowded but absolutely worth going.

This is a must-visit in Iceland! Do not go to Iceland without stopping at the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon! We toured all of Iceland and this was one of the most beautiful natural settings. How can you not stop to see, pick-up, eat, lick ICE in ICELAND?! Icelandic water is amongst the cleanest in the world and perfectly safe. In case... More

Even though I had some credit card failures this day.. the zodiac boat trip still managed to save my day. You should wear gloves if you have them, even in the summer! After getting your thermal clothes you'll meet the guides and head off to the boats. With quite a high speed you'll leave to the beginning of the glacier... More

We drove 4.5 hours from Reykjavik to Jokulsarlon and it was so worth it! After seeing Diamond Beach just across the bridge, we came to Glacier Lagoon. Absolutely breathtaking. We didn't have time to do the amphibian boat tour, but that would have been worth it to get even closer to the 1000 year old icebergs and even taste it!... More

On the day we came, there weren't too many large glacier pieces in the lagoon or on the Diamond Beach across the street, nevertheless, it was still a beautiful sight and we could only imagine how grand it is when there are large glacier pieces floating around. We didn't take the boat tour, but it seemed like those who did... More

Go . Cannot recommend it enough . It is breathtaking and the drive through southern Iceland was the most picturesque . Free parking and entry . Cafe and visitor hut on site . Boat tour was not running in November but looked worthwhile .

The day we went it poured nonstop and I was completely saturated by the time we left, but . . . I would still recommend it. Even the drive there was fascinating, the continuing changes in the landscape, etc. We went on our own and it wasn't the right time of year to take a boat trip, although I think... More
